Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s Easter Saturday today, and the 2024 ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season continues as we check out the second ‘Short Trips’ anthology book of ‘Doctor Who’ published by the BBC called ‘More Short Trips’, released in March 1999. There are seventeen stories in the anthology. Once again, one of them features the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. 🙂
That story is called ‘The Eternity Contract’ by Steve Lyons. There’s also a two-part story called ‘Missing’, featuring Melanie Bush. And the rest of the anthology includes stories like ‘Totem’, ‘Scientific Adviser’, ‘Moon Graffiti’, ‘One Bad Apple’, ’64 Carlysle Street’, ‘The Sow in Rut’, ‘Special Weapons’, ‘Honest Living’, ‘Dead Time’, ‘Romans Cutaway’, ‘Return of the Spiders’, ‘Hot Ice’, ‘uPVC’, ‘Good Companions’ and ‘Femme Fatale’. Incidentally, ‘Good Companions’ features an older Tegan who meets the Merlin Doctor from ‘Battlefield’. There are also audiobook readings for a couple of the stories, including ‘Moon Graffiti’, read by Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant, and ‘Dead Time’, read by Paul McGann.
Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my latest reviews on the stories featured in the ‘More Short Trips’ anthology book by the BBC by clicking on the links for them, including ‘The Eternity Contract’, featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. You can purchase the ‘More Short Trips’ book from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com. You can also purchase the audiobook for ‘Moon Graffiti’ from ‘Tales From The TARDIS, Volume 1’ and the audiobook for ‘Dead Time’ from ‘Tales From The TARDIS, Volume 2’, both via Audible.
Enjoy!
Stay tuned tomorrow for my updated review on the Big Finish audio story ‘Castle of Fear’, the first story of ‘The Stockbridge Trilogy’, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor and Sarah Sutton as Nyssa.
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂
