It’s time to close off Season 8 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series by taking a look at the five-part adventure ‘The Dæmons’. This happens to be a favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story among the fans. It stars Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates, John Levene as Sergeant Benton and Roger Delgado as the Master. Just in case you missed it today, I’ve read and heard the novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Dæmons’ by producer Barry Letts, based on the scripts by him and Robert Sloman (under the pseudonym of ‘Guy Leopold’). The story features the Third Doctor, Jo, the Master and U.N.I.T. The audiobook for ‘Doctor Who and the Dæmons’ is also read by Barry Letts. Continue reading
