Tim’s Reactions to Season 20 of classic ‘Doctor Who’ (ALL in ONE COMPILATION)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

To commemorate my first meeting with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of Traken in ‘Doctor Who’) at the ‘Fifth Element’ convention in February 2010, here’s a brand-new video containing my reactions to Season 20 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, originally shared from March to June 2025. This was when I was updating my reviews on the stories of Season 20 of the classic TV series during that year, based on ‘The Collection’ Blu-ray box set that was released in 2023. Continue reading

Audio Reviews – ‘The Cloud Exiles & Other Stories’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to this year’s ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from December 2025 to January 2026! 🙂 It’s a Christmas tradition that’s been going for the past 10 years (unless you reschedule a ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for Easter 2024 instead of Christmas 2023, but that’s beside the point) where I share brand-new and updated reviews on certain ‘Doctor Who’ stories featuring Nyssa of Traken, my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ companion, as played by Sarah Sutton in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. I’m looking forward to sharing with you some brand-new reviews on certain ‘Doctor Who’/Nyssa stories that have come out this year as well as share updated reviews on certain stories I’ve already covered but have revisited recently. Celebrating 62 Years of ‘Doctor Who’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Happy 62nd Anniversary, ‘Doctor Who’!

I wasn’t planning on sharing a specific blog post to celebrate ‘Doctor Who’s 62nd anniversary, as it was just going to be my convention report on ‘London Comic Con Winter 2025’ to celebrate the occasion. But then I thought, let’s do a proper blog post! 🙂 Continue reading

Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Vengeance on Varos’ (1997)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve checked out and reviewed the 1997 abridged audiobook of the Target novelization of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Vengeance on Varos’ by Philip Martin, read by Colin Baker, who plays the Sixth Doctor in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. The audiobook is included in the ‘Tales From The TARDIS, Volume Two’ collection via Audible. The story features the Sixth Doctor and Peri as well as the greedy Sil. Continue reading

Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Vengeance on Varos’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for us to delve into the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Vengeance on Varos’ by Philip Martin, based on the original TV scripts. The Target novelization was published in June 1988, three years after the TV story was transmitted in January 1985. The story features the Sixth Doctor and Peri where they visit Varos and encounter the slimy Sil. I’ve greatly enjoyed checking out the Target novelization, along with the 2019 unabridged audiobook read by Martin Jarvis, who played the Governor in the TV story. Over the years, I’ve considered ‘Vengeance on Varos’ a decent ‘Doctor Who’ story featuring themes of how violence can used as entertainment for TV audiences. Continue reading

Season 20 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Peter Davison on Blu-ray #6

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’re now on the sixth story of Season 20 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series and, as it turns out, the season finale. Technically, anyway. Don’t worry. There’s still ‘The Five Doctors’ for us to check out next week. In the meantime, let’s check out this two-part story by Terence Dudley, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Turlough. It’s Terence Dudley’s third ‘Doctor Who’ contribution as a writer and it’s the first and only one to be directed by Tony Virgo. The story also introduces Kamelion, a new robot companion for the Fifth Doctor, voiced by Gerald Flood, who also plays King John in this adventure. There’s also the return of Anthony Ainley as the Master in ‘The King’s Demons’. The story’s special guest stars include Frank Windsor, Isla Blair, Christopher Villiers and Michael J. Jackson. The story was filmed at Bodiam Castle, as it takes place in medieval England in the year 1215. Continue reading

Tim’s ‘Enlightenment’ Videos

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In updating my review on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Enlightenment’, I’ve shared three new reaction videos via YouTube to add to my extended and updated thoughts on the story. This includes reactions to certain characters and moments featured in the ‘Enlightenment’ TV adventure itself, which I’ve enjoyed doing. Continue reading

‘Tales From The TARDIS’ Review – ‘Vigil’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on Easter Tuesday today. It’s time to check out the sixth story in the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’ collection of ‘Doctor Who’ audio stories. Here’s my brand-new review on ‘Vigil’, the third and final story in the ‘Out of the Darkness’ audio anthology, featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri. The story is by Michael Collier, which happens to be a pseudonym of Stephen Cole, a regular ‘Doctor Who’ writer in books and audios. ‘Vigil’, read by Nicola Bryant, is quite unique, as it’s the only audio story exclusive in the ‘Out of the Darkness’ anthology, since it was never printed in any book anthology like ‘Moon Graffiti’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’ were. I found ‘Vigil’ a fascinating audio story to check out in ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’. Continue reading

‘Tales From The TARDIS’ Review – ‘Moon Graffiti’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Hope you’re enjoying Easter Sunday so far! Today in my Easter review season on the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’ collection of ‘Doctor Who’ audio stories, I’m sharing my review on the story ‘Moon Graffiti’ by Dave Stone, featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri, and read by Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant. As well as the fourth story in the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’ collection, ‘Moon Graffiti’ is the first story in the ‘Out of the Darkness’ audio anthology, featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri. It’s also the fourth story in the ‘More Short Trips’ book collection, which I reviewed in my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for Easter from March to April 2024. I didn’t think I’d be revisiting ‘Moon Graffiti’ and re-sharing my review on it so soon. 😀 Continue reading
