Let’s check out the fifth and penultimate story in Season 15 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘Underworld’ by Bob Baker and Dave Martin. In this adventure, Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Louise Jameson as Leela and K-9, voiced by John Leeson, come across a spaceship in deep space called the R1C, captained by James Maxwell as Jackson, who is joined by his followers Alan Lake as Herrick, Jonathan Newth as Orfe and Imogen Bickford-Smtih as Tala. Let’s check out the second story of Season 15 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘The Invisible Enemy’ by Bob Baker and Dave Martin, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Louise Jameson as Leela and K-9, voiced by John Leeson. Yes! This is where K-9 makes his debut as a ‘Doctor Who’ companion in the classic TV series. Or rather where K-9 Mark I makes his debut. It’s been great to revisit ‘The Invisible Enemy’ on Blu-ray, especially through the CGI effects option. Today, I’m sharing my updated review on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Underwater Menace’. This updated review is based on the latest in a line of mostly missing black-and-white ‘Doctor Who’ TV stories from the 1960s that have been animated on DVD and Blu-ray for today. The story stars Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Anneke Wills as Polly Wright, Michael Craze as Ben Jackson and Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon. Today in our look of Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series via its Blu-ray box set, it’s time to check out one of the most ambitious ‘Doctor Who’ stories ever made from the William Hartnell/First Doctor era. It’s time for ‘The Web Planet’, a six-part adventure by Bill Strutton. This story has our heroes – William Hartnell as the First Doctor, William Russell as Ian, Jacqueline Hill as Barbara and Maureen O’Brien as Vicki – visiting the planet Vortis. On the planet, there are a variety of insect-like aliens, including the butterfly-like Menoptera, the ant-like Zarbi, the worm-like Larvae Guns (Venom Grubs), the woodlice-like Optera and the spider-like Animus. Here we are, everyone! I’ve been able to update my reviews on the nine stories featured in Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, since it was re-released on Blu-ray back in December 2022. For the next two weeks, I’ll be sharing my updated thoughts on each of the nine stories in Season 2. The season stars William Hartnell as the First Doctor, William Russell as Ian and Jacqueline Hill as Barbara. Carole Ann Ford stars as Susan in the first two stories of Season 2, Maureen O’Brien stars as Vicki in the rest of the season, and Peter Purves stars as Steven in the last two stories. Okay, let me be clear about something. I love the first ‘Daleks’ story with William Hartnell, William Russell, Jacqueline Hill and Carole Ann Ford in ‘Doctor Who’. Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Today, we’re taking a look at the fifth and penultimate story of ‘The Key to Time’ season (Season 16) in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. This is the second story in ‘The Key to Time’ season to be penned by Robert Holmes (his first was ‘The Ribos Operation’). ‘The Power of Kroll’ is a four-part story, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor and Mary Tamm as Romana. K-9 doesn’t feature in this story, though John Leeson gets to play a human character called Dugeen in this. The story also features Philip Madoc (well-known for being in the ‘Dad’s Army’ episode ‘The Deadly Attachment’ as well as three ‘Doctor Who’ stories and a ‘Doctor Who’ movie beforehand) as Fenner. ‘The Power of Kroll’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. This is ‘The Invisible Enemy’, a four-part story by Bob Baker and Dave Martin. The story introduces us to K-9, a robot dog built by Frederick Jaeger as Professor Marius. K-9 is voiced by John Leeson.
