Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Series 5 of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series is coming to an end on Channel 5 this Thursday. Before I share my thoughts on the season, I’d like to share some thoughts on two TV items on the original ‘All Creatures’ TV series that I have seen recently. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Christmas time! 🙂 I hoped to do a series of ‘Doctor Who’-themed Christmas reviews on my blog. Hopefully, I’ll get to do at least one ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas review soon, though the 60th anniversary celebrations have taken a lot of my time. Still, I can still do non-‘Doctor Who’ Christmas reviews on my blog. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Hungry Earth’/’Cold Blood’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve found out that the two-part ‘Doctor Who’ story we’re revisiting today – ‘The Hungry Earth’/’Cold Blood’ by Chris Chibnall – takes place in the year 2020. Keep in mind that the two-part story was shown on BBC TV in May 2010. I’d like to assume that the story takes place in early 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic ever happened. Or it could be that the story takes place in an alternative universe where Covid-19 never happened. 😀 Anyway, let’s check out this two-part story starring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams, as they visit South Wales in 2020 and we have the return of the Silurians with a redesigned look compared to the classic TV series versions of them. The main Silurians featured in this story include Neve McIntosh as Alaya and Restac, Richard Hope as Malohkeh and Stephen Moore as Eldane. ‘The Hungry Earrth’/’Cold Blood’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. 2 Quick Movie Reviews – ‘Alice In Wonderland’ (2010) & ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ (2016)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I’ve seen the two Disney live-action films based on Lewis Carroll’s works featuring Alice, including the 2010 film ‘Alice In Wonderland’ and the 2016 film ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’. I’ve enjoyed both films on Disney+, but they’re not great films and they’re loosely based on their source material. Continue reading

Quick DVD Box Set Review – ‘The Musketeers’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s funny how I seem to keep coming back to ‘The Three Musketeers’ by Alexandra Dumas every year. In 2021, I reviewed the 1993 film and in 2022, I reviewed the 2011 film. Both films I saw on Disney+. I’ve just finished checking out the BBC TV series ‘The Musketeers’, based on the 1844 novel. Continue reading

It stars Simon Lipkin, Celia Imrie, Craig Revel Horwood, Helen George and Ruth Jones. Continue reading

Christmas DVD Review – ‘The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This is what I got my Mum for Christmas in 2019. I got her the complete series of ‘The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries’ starring Diana Rigg of ‘The Avengers’ fame and Neil Dudgeon. My parents and I enjoyed this crime investigation drama series set in the 1920s. It had good old-fashioned murder mysteries. 🙂 Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Patrick’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This is a film I didn’t expect to come back to very soon! For my Dad’s birthday today, I’ve done a full-length review on the comedy film ‘Patrick’. This was released at cinemas for a short time in the UK in June 2018. And it was shown for the first time in the USA in…February 2019…for some reason! Huh? Continue reading

It’s time for another two-part story in the Matt Smith era of ‘Doctor Who’. This one is by Chris Chibnall and it features the Doctor, Amy and Rory meeting the Silurians. This marks the first ‘Doctor Who’ story to feature the return of the Silurians in the new series. They look different to their classic series counterparts. Continue reading
