Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog where Christmas time is served! And I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s coming to the end of November and we’re about to start celebrating Christmas in December. Although if you’ve been following my blog lately, I’ve started celebrating Christmas already with my reviews on ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’, the last three ‘Home Alone’ films and ‘Twas the Night’, which I’ve seen recently on Disney+. Revisiting ‘The Hobbit’/’The Lord of the Rings’ on Blu-ray

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve had a chance to check out ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films again, set in the world of Middle-Earth. I’m planning to do a ‘LOTR’-styled Advent Calendar for my blog this year with a comedic edge to it. I also hope to make a start on updating my reviews on the ‘LOTR’ radio series once I’ve sorted out my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews for this year. I also hope to see the new ‘LOTR’ TV series on Amazon Prime Video soon. Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Tolkien’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Once again, I’ve had an opportunity to revisit ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogies in the world of Middle-Earth. Whilst doing that, I’ve had a chance to revisit the 2019 biographical film ‘Tolkien’, starring Nicholas Hoult and Lily Collins. My parents and I have seen this film more times on DVD and on Disney+ since seeing it for the first time at the cinema back in 2019. Continue reading

Book Review – ‘The Hobbit’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At last! I’ve read and reviewed ‘The Hobbit’ book by J.R.R. Tolkien. I’ve wanted to read this book for quite some time after seeing ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy by director Peter Jackson and his filmmaking team. I read ‘The Hobbit’ book featuring Alan Lee illustrations with the audiobook read by Rob Inglis. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve updated and extended my reviews on ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy. I’ve been revisiting ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films by director Peter Jackson, set in the world of Middle-Earth. This is before I read and review ‘The Hobbit’ book by J. R. R. Tolkien and hopefully before I update my current reviews on ‘The Lord of the Rings’ BBC radio series. Continue reading

Convention Report – ‘Film & Comic Con Glasgow 2019’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I had a fantastic time last weekend at the ‘Film & Comic Con Glasgow 2019’ at the Braehead Arena. This was a two-day event from Saturday the 17th to Sunday the 18th of August. I saw my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stars at the comic con – Sarah Sutton (who played Nyssa with Peter Davison), Sophie Aldred (who played Ace with Sylvester McCoy) and Katy Manning (who played Jo with Jon Pertwee). Quick Movie Review – ‘Tolkien’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Not many care for biographical films on certain figures of history these days. I say that with the highest respect in regards to the film I’m reviewing here. But it’s a shame many of these biographical films on certain authors of famous works of literature get overlooked when being shown at cinemas. Continue reading

Cinema Experience – ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

‘The Lord of the Rings’!!!

Who am I to argue? ‘The Lord of the Rings’ is one of the best movie trilogies ever made in the history of cinema. It’s well-directed by Peter Jackson, with strong characters and amazing worlds in Middle-Earth, based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien. Without a doubt, it’s the most successful of film trilogies.
