Quick TV Review – ‘The Larkins at Christmas’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I was lucky in being able to see ‘The Larkins at Christmas’ on Christmas Day itself! 🙂 I was afraid I might miss it, as it clashed with the timing for the 2021 Christmas Special of ‘Call the Midwife’ on BBC One. Thankfully I was pretty lucky to see ‘The Larkins at Christmas’ on a repeat channel for ITV1. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Call the Midwife’, Christmas Special 2021

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s that time of the year again to share my thoughts on the latest Christmas Special of ‘Call the Midwife’. This year, I missed out on watching Series 10 of ‘Call the Midwife’, mainly because my parents and I were checking out the other seasons before it. But thankfully, we’re right up-to-date. 🙂 Continue reading

On Christmas Eve this year, I saw the 2021 Christmas Special of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ series on Channel 5. I greatly enjoyed the Christmas Special! Quick Blu-ray Review – ‘Downton Abbey: The London Season’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Let’s talk about the 2013 Christmas Special of ‘Downton Abbey’ called ‘The London Season’. It’s interesting that most of these ‘Downton Abbey’ Christmas Specials don’t have a Christmas theme about them. It’s like how the last three ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ Christmas Specials aren’t Christmassy. 😐 Continue reading

Quick TV Series Review – ‘The Larkins’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

‘The Larkins’ is a 2021 TV adaptation of the H. E. Bates novel ‘The Darling Buds of May’. I was aware of ‘The Darling Buds of May’ before checking out this series, having seen the first episode (I believe) of the 1991-93 series, which starred David Jason, Pam Ferris, Philip Franks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. I’m looking forward to seeing that movie, whether on the big screen or not, once it comes out. Continue reading

Hello everyone. 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

It’s time to talk about the seventh episode of Series 6 in ‘Grantchester’! I saw this episode last Friday when I was away for the ‘Bedford Who Charity Con’. I enjoyed watching this episode when I was in my hotel room in Bedford last Friday. Mind you, the episode itself can be pretty depressing in places. Continue reading
