I’ve checked out and reviewed the 1997 abridged audiobook of the Target novelization of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Vengeance on Varos’ by Philip Martin, read by Colin Baker, who plays the Sixth Doctor in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. The audiobook is included in the ‘Tales From The TARDIS, Volume Two’ collection via Audible. The story features the Sixth Doctor and Peri as well as the greedy Sil. Continue reading

It’s time for us to delve into the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Vengeance on Varos’ by Philip Martin, based on the original TV scripts. The Target novelization was published in June 1988, three years after the TV story was transmitted in January 1985. The story features the Sixth Doctor and Peri where they visit Varos and encounter the slimy Sil. I’ve greatly enjoyed checking out the Target novelization, along with the 2019 unabridged audiobook read by Martin Jarvis, who played the Governor in the TV story. Over the years, I’ve considered ‘Vengeance on Varos’ a decent ‘Doctor Who’ story featuring themes of how violence can used as entertainment for TV audiences. Continue reading

At long last! I’ve finished uploading my latest ‘Doctor Who’ story called ‘Neptune Connect’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. I apologise that this has taken me longer than I intended, but I’ve been sidetracked with other projects and there has been a lot to edit and improve upon with sharing the story online compared to when I first wrote it back in 2014. Anyway, here it is! Today, I’m sharing ‘Part Four’ of ‘Neptune Connect’ in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series.
