Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In case you missed it yesterday, I’ve updated my review on ‘Arc of Infinity’, one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories from the Peter Davison/Fifth Doctor era. In doing so, I’ve done a review on the making-of documentary ‘Anti-Matter from Amsterdam’, presented by Sophie Aldred, produced and directed by Keith Barnfather, and featuring behind-the-scenes interviews with cast and crew, including Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, Ian Collier, Alistair Cumming, Colin Baker, Paul Jerricho, script editor Eric Saward and writer Johnny Byrne. Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Attack of the Cybermen’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve recently checked out the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Attack of the Cybermen’ by Eric Saward, featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri. I read the original paperback edition of the ‘Doctor Who’ story published in 1989 along with the 2024 unabridged audiobook read by David Banks, who plays the Cyber Leader in the TV story. It’s been a fascinating experience checking out ‘Attack of the Cybermen’ as a ‘Doctor Who’ story in prose form compared to seeing it as a TV story. Continue reading

It features the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa as well as the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctors, Adric and Tegan and plenty of ‘Doctor Who’ monsters. Continue reading

We’re back with another review on a ‘Doctor Who’ novelization/audiobook, and this time, it’s on the first Fifteenth Doctor TV adventure that was shown on Christmas Day in December 2023 called ‘The Church on Ruby Road’, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday. The novelization is by Esmie Jikiemi-Pearson, based on the TV script by Russell T. Davies, and the audiobook is read by Angela Wynter, who plays Cherry Sunday, Ruby’s grandmother in the TV series. I purchased the BBC Books hardback edition of ‘The Church on Ruby Road’ novelization as opposed to the Target paperback edition. Continue reading
