Week 51 – ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ UPDATED

— BRAND NEW REVIEWS AVAILABLE TODAY!!! —

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s New Year’s Eve today! You’ve waited for this, and here we are! 😀 Today, I’m sharing my brand-new ‘Doctor Who’ review on the Big Finish audio adaptation of ‘Goth Opera’ by Lizbeth Myles, based on the original 1994 novel by Paul Cornell, which was released this year. I’m so happy I’ve been able to check out and do my review on the Big Finish audio adaptation of ‘Goth Opera’ for the 2024-25 ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season. It’s exciting to talk about the audio version of ‘Goth Opera’, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and Janet Fielding as Tegan.

The audio adaptation also features special guest stars Richard Armitage (Thorin Oakenshield in ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy) as Rassilon, Micah Balfour as Yarven and Natalie Gumede as Ruath. It’s also directed by David O’Mahony. I’ve also done a brand-new review on the original 1994 ‘Goth Opera’ novel by Paul Cornell, making comparisons between it and the Big Finish audio adaptation, which was a captivating and fascinating experience for me. I’m pleased to have my copy of the ‘Goth Opera’ 3-disc CD box set signed by Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton and Janet Fielding and my copy of the ‘Goth Opera’ book signed by Sarah Sutton.

Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my brand-new reviews on ‘Goth Opera’ by clicking on the link for it. You can purchase ‘Goth Opera’ either as a CD box set or as a download from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com or the Big Finish website. You can also purchase the original ‘Goth Opera’ book by Paul Cornell either from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.

Enjoy! 🙂

Stay tuned tomorrow for my final ‘Nyssa Challenge’ review, which is an updated review on the Big Finish audio story ‘The Five Companions’, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, William Russell as Ian, Peter Purves as Steven, Jean Marsh as Sara Kingdom and Anneke Wills as Polly.

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
