It’s time for the second story in Season 11 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘Invasion of the Dinosaurs’, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. This six-part adventure also features Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates (this story sees a character change in Mike) and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to Season 11 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 This is Jon Pertwee’s fifth and final season as the Third Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’. We start off with ‘The Time Warrior’, a four-part story by Robert Holmes. This story is significant for two major things. Firstly, it introduces us to Elisabeth Sladen as new companion Sarah Jane Smith. In hindsight, Season 10 may not have celebrated every aspect of ‘Doctor Who’ at that point compared to Season 20 and ‘The Five Doctors’ for the 20th anniversary. This is also where we say goodbye to the lovely Katy Manning as the equally lovely Jo Grant, as she makes her last regular appearance in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. This is ‘The Green Death’, a six-part adventure. We conclude the ‘Dalek War’ saga in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series today by looking at ‘Planet of the Daleks’, a six-part adventure starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. The story takes us to the planet Spiridon, where the Third Doctor and Jo team up with a group of Thals, as they try to stop an army of Daleks under a frozen mountain from being woken up. ‘Planet of the Daleks’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Roger Delgado also makes his last and sadly final appearance as the Master in this ‘Doctor Who’ story. The 10th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’! 🙂 Today, we take a look at ‘The Three Doctors’, the first ‘Doctor Who’ story to feature more than one Doctor. As well as Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, we have the return of Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and William Hartnell as the First Doctor. There’s also Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. Season 9 of classic ‘Doctor Who’ is Jon Pertwee’s third season as the Third Doctor. Whilst he’s still exiled to Earth by the Time Lords, Jon Pertwee’s Doctor gets the chance to go off-world a bit more compared to Season 8.
