Quick Movie Review – ‘Joker’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I hadn’t planned on seeing the film ‘Joker’ at the cinema when it came out in October 2019. But after hearing a lot of people talk about it, I decided to find out what this film was like. I went to see the film at the cinema with my best mate from school Stephen. He saw this film twice before I saw it. 😀 Continue reading

Week 3 – ‘Star Wars Review Season’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome back everyone to the ‘Star Wars Review Season’!

It’s now time to take a look at one of the most notorious things ever created in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise – the ‘Star Wars Holiday Special’! This is a TV special that was shown only once on US TV and is disregarded by the majority of ‘Star Wars’ fans as well as ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas himself. Continue reading

Convention Memories – ‘Fantom Films @ Memorabilia Birmingham 2011’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And here we are once again with another ‘convention memories’ blog post for today! I attended a pretty fruitful amount of conventions in 2011. I attended the ‘London Film and Comic Con’ in July; ‘Regenerations 2011’ in Swansea for September and ‘Acceptable in the 80s’ in Chiswick, London for October. For my last convention in 2011, I attended the ‘Memorabilia Birmingham’ event at the NEC. Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘North by Northwest’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Is it normal for a ‘Doctor Who’ fan to review an Alfred Hitchcock movie? (Pause) I don’t know, but I’m going to do it anyway. Today, I’ve released a new page on my blog called ‘The World of Alfred Hitchcock’. And today, I’ve added my new DVD review on the 1959 film called ‘North by Northwest’. Continue reading

‘The Prime Factor’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At last! I’ve added my brand-new Fifth Doctor story to my blog called ‘The Prime Factor’. I’m glad I’ve been able to release this story in November before the Christmas season in December. I wrote this story in the months of June and July 2019. It has been a pretty exciting story to write and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve done quite a number of quick reviews on cartoon films released to DVD. These include unusual crossovers such as ‘Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’; ‘Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz’ and the sequel to that film ‘Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz’. I also reviewed ‘Scooby-Doo Meets Batman’ and ‘Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold’. Quite unusual crossovers! 😀 Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘The Aeronauts’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve seen the film ‘The Aeronauts’ starring Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne at the cinema. This was my Dad’s birthday present film for 2019. He greatly enjoyed it! I greatly enjoyed it too! So did my Mum! It was worth going to see and it felt like a proper adventure film inspired by true events in 1862. Continue reading

Week 2 – ‘Star Wars Review Season’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome once again to the ‘Star Wars Review Season’!

Today, we’re taking a look at the latest ‘Star Wars’ anthology film that was released in May 2018 – ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’. This is a ‘Star Wars’ film that’s pretty underrated. It was the most expensive ever made to date out of the franchise and it was a box office disaster when released at cinemas. Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Oliver Twist’ (1997)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for a film review that combines both The World of Charles Dickens and Disney together. Here’s my review on the 1997 TV film adaptation of ‘Oliver Twist’. This TV movie was shown in ‘The Wonderful World of Disney’ US programme back in 1997. Like most film adaptations, this differs to what’s in the book. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Last week, I posted a review on the ‘Scooby-Doo Meets Batman’ DVD to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Scooby-Doo. In a way, I’m glad I did that since I reviewed the two cartoon films from the DVD release. But as they’re also included in the ‘Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold’ DVD, should I have bothered? For all I know, I might give the ‘Scooby-Doo Meets Batman’ DVD away. Continue reading
