Movie Review – ‘Mary Queen of Scots’

I saw the movie ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ at the cinema this week. This is a historical drama film set during the Tudor period of England in the 1500s. The film stars Saoirse Ronan as Mary, Queen of Scots and Margot Robbie as Queen Elizabeth the First. Both actresses deliver good performances in the film. Continue reading

Today, I’ve added my review on the novelization/audiobook called ‘Doctor Who and the Terror of the Autons’ by Terrance Dicks. This is a novelization on the ‘Doctor Who’ story, ‘Terror of the Autons’, featuring the Third Doctor, Jo Grant, the Brigadier, Mike Yates, Sgt. Benton, U.N.I.T. and the Master. The audiobook is read by Geoffrey Beevers who played the Master in ‘The Keeper of Traken’. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Stan & Ollie’

I’ve seen the movie ‘Stan & Ollie’ at the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it a heartfelt biographical account of my favourite comedy duo, Laurel & Hardy. The film remained true to the spirit of the comedic atmosphere the duo had whilst also depicting what they seemed to be like in real-life. Continue reading
