It’s time for us to check out the ‘Dalek War’ saga in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. Today, we’re starting off with ‘Frontier In Space’, a six-part adventure starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. Roger Delgado also makes his last and sadly final appearance as the Master in this ‘Doctor Who’ story. It’s Season 10 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. The 10th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’! 🙂 Today, we take a look at ‘The Three Doctors’, the first ‘Doctor Who’ story to feature more than one Doctor. As well as Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, we have the return of Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and William Hartnell as the First Doctor. There’s also Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. Season 9 of classic ‘Doctor Who’ is Jon Pertwee’s third season as the Third Doctor. Whilst he’s still exiled to Earth by the Time Lords, Jon Pertwee’s Doctor gets the chance to go off-world a bit more compared to Season 8. Today, we take a look at the second story in Season 9 that’s away from Earth called ‘The Mutants’, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. Before the Sea Devils returned in the ‘Doctor Who’ Easter Special called ‘Legend of the Sea Devils’ in April 2022, they made their debut in the ‘Doctor Who’ adventure called ‘The Sea Devils’, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. Roger Delgado also makes a return as the Master in this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure. This six-part adventure can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. The story will soon be re-released in the Season 9 Blu-ray box set, so watch out for that. 😀

Let’s begin Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with a Dalek story. 🙂 This is ‘Day of the Daleks’, a four-part story starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. I highly recommend checking out the Special Edition version of the story on the 2-disc DVD release, since that has impressive CGI effects and impressive Dalek voices by Nicholas Briggs. The Special Edition version of ‘Day of the Daleks’ is also available on Britbox, which is fantastic. 😀 The story will soon be re-released in the Season 9 Blu-ray box set, so watch out for that. 😀 Continue reading →
