Quick TV Review – ‘Doctor Who Unleashed – 20 Years in Wales’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Okay, so, I must admit, I’ve not seen every episode of the behind-the-scenes documentary ‘Doctor Who Unleashed’ by this point. Hopefully, I can make up for this when it comes to doing in-depth reviews on Series 14 and 15 of ‘Doctor Who’ in 2026. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick Reactions to Series 15 of ‘Doctor Who’ (ALL in ONE COMPILATION)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

As part of the 62nd anniversary celebrations of ‘Doctor Who’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, I’ve decided to share a brand-new video containing my quick reactions to Series 15 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, originally recorded from December 2024 to June 2025. This is like the longest compilation video I’ve ever put together, as its runtime is about 1 hour and 32 minutes. So, it’s like watching a movie for an hour and a half. You’ll need to have about 92 minutes to check out this video in full. 😀 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Just to give you an update, I’m hoping to do my in-depth reviews on Series 14 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson very soon. Before that happens though, I have a couple of 62nd anniversary celebration ‘Doctor Who’ reviews I want to share on my blog in November and I’m hoping to work my upcoming ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for December 2025 leading into January 2026. Quick TV Review – ‘Joy to the World’ (Doctor Who)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Wow! It’s been a while since I did one of these quick reviews on a recent ‘Doctor Who’ story. I know I did a quick review on Series 14, but that was a general summary on the whole season, not on an individual story. It’s nice to do this little review on one special. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick TV Review – ‘Doctor Who at the Proms 2024’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

On Christmas Eve, I managed to see ‘Doctor Who at the Proms 2024’ on BBC iPlayer. This was originally shown on BBC Two in the afternoon in the UK. In the past, ‘Doctor Who’ has had three Proms concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London for 2008, 2010 and 2013. Continue reading

Okay, so, Ncuti Gatwa’s first season of ‘Doctor Who’ has come and gone. How time flies within two months. 😀 Right from the beginning, I’ve stated I won’t share any in-depth thoughts on the episodes until the DVD and Blu-ray releases of Series 14 are out. But I can at least share my general thoughts. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Twice Upon a Time’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to check out the final story of the Peter Capaldi/Twelfth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ and it’s the final story of the Steven Moffat era. Here we are on the 2017 Christmas Special called ‘Twice Upon a Time’ by Steven Moffat. As well as Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor, he gets to meet and team up with David Bradley as the First Doctor. David Bradley played William Hartnell in the 2013 docu-drama ‘An Adventure In Space and Time’. Since then, he’s played the First Doctor more than once in the Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’. Also in ‘Twice Upon a Time’, there’s the return of Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts and the introduction of Mark Gatiss as the Captain. There are guest returns of Rusty the Dalek from ‘Into the Dalek’, Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald and Matt Lucas as Nardole. There are also small appearances of the First Doctor’s companions, including Polly (played by Anneke Wills/Lily Travers) and Ben (played by Michael Craze/Jared Garfield). With this being the last story of the Peter Capaldi/Twelfth Doctor era, does ‘Twice Upon a Time’ conclude it on reassuring and satisfying notes? ‘Twice Upon a Time’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘World Enough and Time’/’The Doctor Falls’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come now to the two-part season finale in Series 10 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor, Pearl Mackie as Bill and Matt Lucas as Nardole. This is ‘World Enough and Time’/’The Doctor Falls’ by Steven Moffat. This two-part adventure has Michelle Gomez as Missy actively involved in the season finale for a change, and there’s the return of John Simm as the Master, who was last seen in ‘The End of Time’ with David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. There’s also the return of the Mondasian Cybermen, who made their debut in ‘The Tenth Planet’ with William Hartnell as the First Doctor, and they’ve been in the Big Finish audio story ‘Spare Parts’ with Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor. Clearly, ‘World Enough and Time’/’The Doctor Falls’ is supposed to be a dramatic and emotional finale to Series 10, especially considering what happens to our three main heroes: the Twelfth Doctor, Bill and Nardole. Do I think this two-part story is worthy enough to be considered a dramatic and emotional finale in Series 10 of the new TV series? ‘World Enough and Time’/’The Doctor Falls’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer.
