‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Resurrection of the Daleks’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for ‘Resurrection of the Daleks’ by Eric Saward, the fourth story in Season 21 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. Originally, this story was meant to be a four-part adventure before it became a two-part bumper edition story, with the episodes having lengths of 45 minutes each. The story has Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor fighting against the Daleks, along with their creator Davros, played by Terry Molloy. This story also features the final regular appearance of Janet Fielding as Tegan Jovanka. Mark Strickson also appears as Turlough, and there’s a special guest star appearance of Rodney Bewes, who was in ‘The Likely Lads’ and ‘Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads’. ‘Resurrection of the Daleks’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. I enjoyed this film very much and I’m glad that my Dad enjoyed it too, since he was into watching ‘The Likely Lads’ when he was growing up during the 1960s and 70s. Continue reading
