‘The Larkins’ is a 2021 TV adaptation of the H. E. Bates novel ‘The Darling Buds of May’. I was aware of ‘The Darling Buds of May’ before checking out this series, having seen the first episode (I believe) of the 1991-93 series, which starred David Jason, Pam Ferris, Philip Franks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. My parents and I have completed our journey in watching the ‘Call the Midwife’ series on DVD from 2020 to 2021. We’ve recently finished Series 10 of ‘Call the Midwife’ on DVD, which was shown earlier this year on BBC One from April to May.
