Disney Film Review – ‘The Little Mermaid’ (2023)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a brand-new in-depth review on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, hasn’t it? 😀 Recently, my parents and I commemorated my late sister Bethan with revisiting the original 1937 ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ film (I’ve seen the teaser trailer for the upcoming 2025 film ‘Snow White’) and 1989’s ‘The Little Mermaid’. For Bethan’s birthday today, I decided to revisit the 2023 live-action version of ‘The Little Mermaid’ on Disney+ and share an in-depth review of it, following my quick review of the film last year when I saw it at the cinema. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Turn Left’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Bank Holiday Monday in August in the UK in 2023 today. Here we are on the penultimate story of Series 4 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s time for ‘Turn Left’ by Russell T. Davies. In this ‘Doctor Who’ episode, it’s the turn of Catherine Tate as Donna Noble to be without David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, as she finds herself living a different life in a parallel universe where she never met the Doctor, forced on her by Chipo Chung as the Fortune Teller. It’s where we have the return of Billie Piper as Rose Tyler (Yes, I know she appeared in ‘Partners In Crime’, ‘The Poison Sky’ and ‘Midnight’, but those were brief cameos). This episode also features Jacqueline King as Sylvia, Donna’s mum and Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott, Donna’s granddad. There’s also the introduction of Noma Dumezweni as U.N.I.T. Captain Magambo. ‘Turn Left’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve seen the movie ‘The Kid Who Would Be King’ at the cinema! I really enjoyed this movie! I’d seen the trailers and heard many positive things about it. It looked good in the trailers so I hoped it would be good in the film. Thankfully it was and it felt like a pretty good, traditional, ‘after school’ kids’ movie. Continue reading
