Quick Blu-ray Review – ‘Flash Gordon’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I said I wanted to review the cult classic film ‘Flash Gordon’ in my 4th anniversary celebration video with Sophie Aldred. And here I am doing so having seen the movie on Blu-ray! What did I think of ‘Flash Gordon’ overall? I honestly had a fun time watching this with its campy and entertaining style. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Yeah, I wasn’t lying when I said I wanted to do a quick review on ‘The Batman Superman Movie’ once I did my 4th anniversary celebration video with Sarah Sutton. I’ve seen the animated ‘Batman Superman Movie’ on DVD at last! I really enjoyed the film! It was a really exciting spectacle to watch! Continue reading

‘The Hobbit’/’The Lord of the Rings’ on Blu-ray

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve updated and extended my reviews on ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy. I’ve been revisiting ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films by director Peter Jackson, set in the world of Middle-Earth. This is before I read and review ‘The Hobbit’ book by J. R. R. Tolkien and hopefully before I update my current reviews on ‘The Lord of the Rings’ BBC radio series. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Downton Abbey’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This week, I saw the ‘Downton Abbey’ movie at the cinema! I really enjoyed it! And this is coming from someone who’s only just got into the TV series recently. Thankfully, Hugh Bonneville said you don’t need to watch the TV series, since you can go into the film without getting confused. He was right! 🙂 Continue reading

Disney DVD Review – ‘Bambi’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

To commemorate my late sister Bethan’s birthday this year, I’ve reviewed another one of her favourite Disney films – the 1942 film ‘Bambi’. This is a Disney film I loved watching as a kid. It’s a timeless classic and features beautiful imagery and music, set in a forest with forest animals including Bambi and his friends. Continue reading

Book Review – ‘Batman Returns’ (Novelization)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve read and reviewed the movie novelization of ‘Batman Returns’, the second film from the original ‘Batman’ film series directed by Tim Burton. The novelization is by Craig Shaw Gardner. This was an interesting movie novelization to get through as it was the longest book with the shorter chapters featured. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Jungle Book’ (2016)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This year, I saw the 2019 remake of ‘The Lion King’ in July. Whilst I don’t consider that to be better than the original cartoon film, I did enjoy it in some measure. Before that movie, the director Jon Favreau directed the 2016 remake of ‘The Jungle Book’. And I’m so pleased to say, I’ve at last seen it! Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome everyone to the final week of this year’s ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review Season’!

And here we are on what is arguably considered to be the unusual ending for ‘Phase Three: Part One’ in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ movie series. This is ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, the third film in the ‘Thor’ trilogy so far as well as the last ‘MCU’ film that was shown in 2017. Yeah ‘Phase Three: Part One’ covered two years of ‘MCU’ movies at the cinema whilst the second half covered the next two. Continue reading
