Continuing the theme of what I shared yesterday, I’d like to share another YouTube video that I discovered via fifthdoctor‘s channel. This time, it’s on the ‘Earthshock’ DVD audio commentary, featuring the TARDIS foursome – Peter Davison (the FIfth Doctor), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Janet Fielding (Tegan) and Matthew Waterhouse (Adric).
These are the chaotic highlights of the ‘Earthshock’ DVD audio commentary. Hopefully, one day, once I’ve updated all my ‘Doctor Who’ reviews based on their ‘Collection’ Blu-ray box sets, I’ll find time to review the ‘Earthshock’ DVD audio commentary, which I found greatly entertaining. 🙂
It’s always a pleasure to check out anything Fifth Doctor-era related, especially when Peter, Sarah, Janet and Matthew Waterhouse get together to do things like DVD audio commentaries and Big Finish audios. The banter that goes on between them is incredibly intoxicating and such a riot to hear. 😀

*whistles* Isn’t it incredible how different actors treat their own work? I forgot how the regulars positively cackling through Adric’s death because they’re ribbing one another so hard (with Peter Davison so thoroughly unable to control any of them). Contrast that with Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant watching Peri’s death in Mindwarp. They get their quips out early and it’s almost dead silent. Amazing difference.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the chaotic highlights of the ‘Earthshock’ DVD audio commentary.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen and heard it, but I recall the Peter Davison era DVD audio commentaries being pretty chaotic and fun, especially when the cast members wind each other up, including Janet Fielding and Peter Davison. I’ll have to revisit the ‘Doctor Who’ DVD audio commentaries someday and do reviews on them.
I’ve only seen bits and pieces of ‘The Trial of a Time Lord’ DVD audio commentaries, so, I’ll have to find some time to watch them thoroughly to make a comment on how the commentators react to Peri’s death in ‘Mindwarp’. I did see and hear the extra audio commentary track of Colin and Nicola’s reaction to Peri’s actual fate in ‘Part Fourteen’ of ‘Trial’. 😄
