Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
At long last! I’ve completed writing up my in-depth reviews on Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. These reviews are based on me checking out the stories in the Series 14 Blu-ray box set. As we speak, I’m in the process of uploading my reviews on each of the stories in Series 14 to my blog. I aim to share my reviews every week from April to June 2026. It’s taken me a while to write up my reviews on each story in Series 14, but I’m happy to be sharing them on my blog, which includes in-depth thoughts by me on what I think of the stories today compared to when I first viewed back from May to June 2024.
Let’s start off our look into Series 14 by checking out what is technically the first story in the Series 14 Blu-ray box set. This is of course the 2023 Christmas Special called ‘The Church on Ruby Road’. I know I shared my review on this story towards the end of the 60th Anniversary Marathon of ‘Doctor Who’ back in December 2023 and I updated the review with information on the DVD and Blu-ray special features in February 2024. But hey, we might as well as start off checking out Series 14 by checking out the first story featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby. ‘The Church on Ruby Road’ is by Russell T. Davies. How much time has changed since we had the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby’s debut in this story.
To get things started, here’s my spoiler free-reaction video to ‘The Church on Ruby Road’ below.
Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my review for ‘The Church on Ruby Road’ by clicking on the link for it. This contains a review on the TV story and a review on the Target novelization/audiobook ‘Doctor Who – The Church on Ruby Road’ by Esmie Jikiemi-Pearson, read by Angela Wynter.
You can purchase Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series on DVD and Blu-ray either from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.
Enjoy!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
