It’s Day 11 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2022.

Let’s see Tegan’s reaction to the new Enlightenment and Persuasion in ‘Four to Doomsday’. 🙂

It was amusing to see Tegan’s reaction to Paul Shelley as Persuasion and Annie Lambert as Enlightenment after she had just sketched them for the Urbankans so that they could understand what mode of dress humans wear when not in uniform. I appreciate it must have been rather disturbing for her.

I enjoyed the interaction between the TARDIS foursome and the two Urbankans when they were having refreshments. To think that Paul Shelley was in a ‘Blake’s 7’ episode and ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ before this. He would later go on to be in the Big Finish audio story called ‘The Whispering Forest’. 🙂

Annie Lambert would go on to be in the 1983 Christmas Special of the original ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ BBC TV series. A shame she didn’t last beyond that, as Robert Hardy didn’t care for the snorty laugh Annie Lambert had. Peter Davison has mentioned this in the story’s audio commentary.

He also mentioned it in the ‘Behind the Sofa’ item in the Season 19 Blu-ray box set. It was intriguing to see the Fifth Doctor and his friends learn about the Urbankans’ plans compared to Monarch overhearing them in the control room. There are also the four leaders of four Earth groups present.

Burt Kwouk didn’t get to say anything in that scene compared to Philip Locke. It was unnerving when the Doctor said “Au revoir” as they left, and Enlightenment went “I hope so”. It sounded like she hoped she would see the last of Peter’s Doctor for the rest of the story, which I imagine is very likely.
