It’s that time again to share an Easter review season with you on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. To celebrate 10 years of ‘Bradley’s Basement’, I’ve decided to share my reviews on the ‘Doctor Who’ audio stories featured in ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’, which can be heard on Audible. Just in case you missed it today, I’ve added a brand-new review on the 1995 abridged audiobook reading of the Target novelization ‘Doctor Who and the Curse of Peladon’ by Brian Hayles, read by Jon Pertwee, who plays the Third Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’. Let’s check out the second story in Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘The Curse of Peladon’, a four-part story by Brian Hayles, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. No Brigadier, Mike Yates, Benton and U.N.I.T. with them for this occasion, as the TARDIS takes the Doctor and Jo to the alien planet of Peladon, where its people are about to join the Galactic Federation. David Troughton guest stars as King Peladon whilst Geoffrey Toone guest stars as Hepesh, the High Priest of Peladon. There are the Ice Warriors who make an appearance in this ‘Doctor Who’ story as well as Galactic Federation delegates like Alpha Centauri and Arcturus. Continue reading →

Season 9 of classic ‘Doctor Who’ is Jon Pertwee’s third season as the Third Doctor. Whilst he’s still exiled to Earth by the Time Lords, Jon Pertwee’s Doctor gets the chance to go off-world a bit more compared to Season 8. It’s time to talk about the first of the Peladon stories in ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘The Curse of Peladon’. This four-part story has Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant visiting the planet Peladon, where they encounter Ice Warriors, Alpha Centauri and David Troughton as King Peladon. 😀 ‘The Curse of Peladon’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox.
