Disney+ Roundup – ‘Robots’, ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’ & ‘DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s that time again for me to share some thoughts on a few films I’ve seen on Disney+ lately. Even though I’m not doing reviews on the latest ‘Star Wars’ and ‘MCU’ shows at the moment (there’s too many at present), I’m happy to keep checking out films on Disney+ and share my thoughts on them. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Doctor’s Wife’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for the first ‘Doctor Who’ episode to be penned by Neil Gaiman, who is the creator of the comic book series called ‘The Sandman’ and the writer of novels such as ‘Good Omens’ and ‘Stardust’. Today’s ‘Doctor Who’ episode is called ‘The Doctor’s Wife’, featuring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams. In the episode, our heroes receive a distress call and Matt Smith’s Doctor soon meets Suranne Jones as Idris, who happens to be the TARDIS in woman form. The story’s monster is called House and he’s voiced by Michael Sheen, who went on to be in the ‘Good Omens’ TV series with David Tennant. There’s an Ood with green eyes in the episode called Nephew, and there’s the return of the Russell T. Davies-era TARDIS console as well as the introduction of a new TARDIS console designed by ‘Blue Peter’ winner Susannah Leah. ‘The Doctor’s Wife’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I’ve seen the two Disney live-action films based on Lewis Carroll’s works featuring Alice, including the 2010 film ‘Alice In Wonderland’ and the 2016 film ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’. I’ve enjoyed both films on Disney+, but they’re not great films and they’re loosely based on their source material. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Dolittle’

Hello everyone. 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve now seen the latest ‘Dolittle’ film starring Robert Downey Jr. I wasn’t really interested in this film at the time it came out at cinemas in January 2020. But over the past five months and with us going through the current pandemic – please keep safe – I’ve found myself taking an interest in this film. 🙂 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In this ‘Doctor Who’ episode, Matt Smith’s Doctor meets the TARDIS in person…and she’s a woman called Idris. Yeah! This is the first ‘Doctor Who’ episode to be penned by Neil Gaiman for the TV series. This is a fan-pleasing episode in Series 6 of ‘Doctor Who’ that I’ve got to admit I enjoyed watching on the TV.
