March of the Thirteenth Doctor #9

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Hopefully I will get on to reviewing the Target novelization/audiobook of ‘The Witchfinders’ by Joy Wilkinson very soon. In the meantime, check out my review on the TV episode itself as the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz deal with witches in the 17th century. Alan Cumming makes a special guest appearance in this episode. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’ve had many film and TV adaptations of ‘Robin Hood’. There’s the 1991 film ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’, a 2010 ‘Robin Hood’ film starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett, Captain Picard from ‘Star Trek: TNG’ was Robin Hood in ‘Qpid’ and ‘Doctor Who’ had its episode ‘Robot of Sherwood’. 😀 Continue reading

March of the Thirteenth Doctor #8

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ episode from the Jodie Whittaker era! “If you want it, Kerblam it!” That’s right! It’s time for ‘Kerblam!’ I love watching this episode again and again and the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz are on top form when they undercover the mystery happening at Kerblam. Back with the TV series and it’s time for another historical adventure with the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz. March of the Thirteenth Doctor #6

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to move into book territory for today’s ‘March of the Thirteenth Doctor’! Let’s check out the first of the ‘New Series Adventures’ books featuring the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz called ‘The Good Doctor’. I read this book back in 2018 with the audiobook read by Clare Corbett, who does a very good Thirteenth Doctor. Continue reading

March of the Thirteenth Doctor #5

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We join the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz on an adventure in outer space where they end up on this hospital ship. Very soon, trouble begins when the hungry Pting comes to attack. ‘The Tsuranga Conundrum’ isn’t particularly one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ episodes, but it has grown on me over the years. 🙂 Continue reading

In this fourth TV episode of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor, the time-traveller brings her friends Graham, Ryan and Yaz back to Sheffield where they encounter some giant spiders. Is one of them Shelob from ‘The Return of the King’? 😀 We’re also introduced to Yaz’s family and the nefarious Jack Robertson. Continue reading

Basement News – March 2021

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’re in March 2021 and so far the vaccination programme in the UK is hitting its targets with getting everyone vaccinated as soon as possible in the fight against the coronavirus. It’s encouraging, but still please keep safe. As Cuddles would say, ‘always remember to wash your hands’ and not be like Dr. Filthy. 😀 Continue reading

The Thirteenth Doctor TARDIS team delve into history on their first TARDIS trip back in time to 1950s Alabama. Today, we look at the historical adventure called ‘Rosa’ where the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz meet Rosa Parks. Even to this day, ‘Rosa’ is a very well-written and emotion-packed historical story. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

The latest news I’ve heard about ‘Call the Midwife’ is that Series 10 has completed filming. This is good news, especially during difficult times – please keep safe! Hopefully Series 10 will be shown on TV screens soon and hopefully most of us will have the Covid-19 vaccine by then. 🙂 In the meantime, I’ve been checking out Series 6 of ‘Call the Midwife’ on DVD.
