Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
As the Doctor would say, “It is the end, but the moment has been prepared for.” Ever since I started doing ‘Bradley’s Basement’ back in September 2015, I’ve been sharing my series of ‘Doctor Who’ stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy. I’ve greatly enjoyed sharing my series via my blog.
This includes the stories I wrote between 2010 to 2015 as well as stories whilst doing my blog, including ‘The Tree of Riverloth’ and ‘The Prime Factor’. I’ve also enjoyed working with the Divergent Wordsmiths on writing new short tales like ‘Psychic Image’ and ‘Interdimensional Rescue’.
Throughout my ‘Doctor Who’ writing, I’ve had a chance to develop and explore a TARDIS team I’ve grown to love writing for, including the Fifth Doctor (played by Peter Davison), Nyssa of Traken (played by Sarah Sutton) and original companion Billy Walker (played by me in the series, of course).

But as with all good things, they have to come to an end. And it’s now time for me to share with you what the last set of stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy is going to be like. This is the fifth season in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series and will depict Billy Walker’s final adventures.
These stories chronicle how Billy will end up leaving the TARDIS and say goodbye to Nyssa and the Doctor. It’s going to be sad and heartbreaking, and I’m looking forward to sharing Billy’s final adventures on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. Hopefully they’ll be exciting adventures for people to enjoy too.
The five stories are as follows. There’s ‘Neptune Connect’, ‘Swing Time’, ‘Terileptils’ Revenge’, ‘The Blood of Honos’ and ‘Orionis’. I wrote these stories from 2014 to 2015. When I upload them to my blog, hopefully they’ll be proof-read, up-to-date and easy to read for people to enjoy these stories. 🙂
The first story is a four-part adventure called ‘Neptune Connect’ and it features the Cybermen. I did Daleks in ‘Doom of the Daleks’ and ‘Return to Christmas’, I did Sontarans in ‘The Stockbridge Terror’, so it’s fitting that I should include the Cybermen in this story with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy. 🙂
The story will have the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy getting involved in a Cybermen invasion of Earth before they travel back in time to stop them changing the history of the planet. They end up in San Francisco in North America in the 21st century, where they meet Giles Tada (played by Brent Spiner).
The second story is a four-part adventure called ‘Swing Time’ and it’s a musical adventure, featuring Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. The TARDIS ends up on an cruise ship in the summer of 1939. Nyssa and Billy finally get to have their romantic honeymoon, following their wedding in ‘Return to Christmas’.
This is a ‘Doctor Who’ story for my Dad, as he’s into the musical films of the 1930s and 1940s, particularly with Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. This is a fun adventure for the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy, who also get to meet evil doubles of themselves as well as have music and songs throughout. 🙂
The third story is a four-part adventure called ‘Terileptils’ Revenge’ and it features the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy…and Tegan and Adric. Yep, that’s right! Billy gets to share an adventure not only with the Doctor and Nyssa…but with the rest of the Season 19 TARDIS team, including Tegan and Adric. 🙂
This story was inspired from a photo I had with Matthew Waterhouse, Janet Fielding and Sarah Sutton at the ‘Project Motor Mouth 2’ event in August 2013. The story takes place in Stratford-upon-Avon in two time zones and it features the Terileptils from ‘The Visitation’ and the evil Salvador.

The fourth story is a four-part adventure called ‘The Blood of Honos’ and it’s a proper full-on blood-filled and gory zombie horror story for the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy. This will be something to Timelord007‘s tastes, no doubt. 😀 This will be the darkest and most unsettling of the five stories. 😮
The story will also feature the late David Warner as a special guest star. Whilst ‘The Blood of Honos’ is not the final story to feature Billy Walker, it’s a very significant story that will begin his journey in leaving the TARDIS. It’s a story that will test his limits and he will find himself in a dark place by the end. 😦
The fifth and final story is a twelve-part adventure called ‘Orionis’. Yes! That’s right. I’ve decided to go for a 12-part epic with this ‘Doctor Who’ story, much like ‘The Daleks’ Master Plan’ is a 12-part epic. ‘Orionis’ will feature the return of Sean Black (played by Jack P. Shepherd) and the Dwaxi from ‘Dawn of the Dwaxi’.
There are also guest villains like Charles Dance as Lord Bron and David Haig as Commander Dorgzu. Adric Traken (played by Alistair Mackenzie) from ‘Prisoners of Fate’ and ‘The Entropy Plague’ will also be in the story. ‘Orionis’ is set to be an emotional and heartbreaking swansong for Billy Walker. 😦
That’s enough to tease you with. It’ll be bittersweet to share these five final adventures of ‘Doctor Who’ by me featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy, as I’ve enjoyed sharing them with you on my blog. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them when they become available, and I wanted to make the most of Billy leaving the TARDIS.
The Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy series of ‘Doctor Who’ has meant a lot to me over the past nine years and it’ll be very rewarding for me to share this last set of adventures from 2025 onwards. I’m hoping to share the first story ‘Neptune Connect’ very soon. I’m aiming to share it in February 2025.
Stay tuned!
P.S. I also hope to share the fourth and final episode of the ‘Merry Christmas From the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ anthology called ‘Winter’s End’ very soon. Watch this space! 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂

Feel sad that Billy’s adventures are coming to an end I feel he & Nyssa are soul mates.
The Blood Of Honos definitely sounds my type of story.

Hi Simon,
Hope you enjoy checking out the final set of Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy stories in the New Year. What will happen to Billy when he exits the series, well, you’ll have to wait and see. 😀 Glad you approve of ‘The Blood of Honos’. Hope you’ll enjoy it when it becomes available.
Best wishes,

How does it feel to have written five seasons with Billy, Tim? You and the character must have come a long way since we first met him in 2016.

Hi Wolfie,
I’ve greatly enjoyed writing these stories and developing Billy’s character before and whilst I’ve been doing my blog. Like I said, I wrote the initial Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy series from ‘The Railway of Time’ in 2010 to ‘Orionis’ in 2015 before I shared it on my blog from 2016 onwards and have done more stories since then, including ‘The Tree of Riverloth’, ‘Psychic Image’, ‘The Prime Factor’, ‘Into the Death-Space’ and ‘Interdimensional Rescue’.
I’ve enjoyed exploring Billy’s character and his relationships with Nyssa and the Fifth Doctor both on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and the Divergent Wordsmiths. At this point, I’m working on uploading ‘Neptune Connect’ and the rest of the Fifth Doctor series to be shared in 2025 and potentially 2026. I feel there’s more I want to tell regarding Billy’s journey in ‘Doctor Who’ in both these five final stories and perhaps beyond, but I should hold back from sharing any more information until the stories become available on ‘Bradley’s Basement’.
Many thanks for letting me share some of my stories via the Divergent Wordsmiths anthologies as they’ve been great fun to do via that as well as my blog.
Best wishes,
Tim 🙂
