‘Soldiers of Love: Genesis’ is on YouTube!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Get your remotes ready! It’s MJTV time! 😀

Yes! It’s MJTV time again! 😀 Back in 2018, I did an Easter review season on the audio series ‘Soldiers of Love’, produced by MJTV (Mark James Thompson Visuals). Sadly, the MJTV website doesn’t exist anymore, and there isn’t a way to purchase the 14-part audio series online, both physically and digitally. 😦 Thankfully, Critical Penguin has come to the rescue! 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Invasion’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here’s another one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories from the Patrick Troughton era! 🙂 This is ‘The Invasion’, an epic eight-part story where Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe face the Cybermen again. They also confront Kevin Stoney as the villainous Tobias Vaughn and they’re joined by Nicholas Courtney, who is promoted as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and is the leader of U.N.I.T., a new taskforce tackling alien invasions of Earth. Two missing episodes of ‘The Invasion’ have been animated for DVD. ‘The Invasion’ is currently available to check out on DVD and on Britbox. Continue reading

It’s time for the second story in Season 6 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series and it’s one of my favourites from the Patrick Troughton era. It’s one of Wendy Padbury’s favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories too. 🙂 This is ‘The Mind Robber’, a five-part adventure starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe. ‘The Mind Robber’ is available to check out on DVD and on Britbox. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 5 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Season 5 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is what you might regard as ‘the monster season’, featuring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Deborah Watling as Victoria. It would have been really good if Debbie Watling had been in all seven stories of Season 5. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Wheel In Space’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for the season finale of Season 5 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. This is ‘The Wheel In Space’, a six-part adventure that is sadly mostly missing from the BBC Archives. Only two episodes of this six-part story have survived – ‘Episodes Three and Six’. The story stars Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and Frazer Hines as Jamie. The story also introduces Wendy Padbury as Zoe, a new companion, and it features the return of the Cybermen. ‘The Wheel In Space’ can be checked out on audio CD or as a download from Audible. The two surviving episodes of the story can be seen in the ‘Lost In Time’ DVD collection. The story can be seen in full with reconstructions of the four missing episodes and the two surviving episodes on Britbox. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Tom and Jerry: Cowboy Up!’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to talk about a ‘Tom and Jerry’ movie that I purchased from my trip in Newcastle in July 2022. I know it’s taken me a while to get around to finally watch the film in 2023, but I’ve managed to check it out and can share some thoughts on what one of the latest ‘Tom and Jerry’ animated films is like. Continue reading
