In case you missed it yesterday, I’ve added a brand-new review on the ‘Doctor Who’ Target novelization/audiobook ‘Doctor Who and the Invasion of Time’ by Terrance Dicks, based on the original TV scripts by ‘David Agnew’ (who is actually script editor Anthony Read with the scripts edited by producer Graham Williams). The story features the Fourth Doctor, Leela and K-9, and takes place on Gallifrey where our heroes confront the Vardans and the Sontarans. The 2016 audiobook for ‘Doctor Who and the Invasion of Time’ is read by John Leeson, who voices K-9 in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. Continue reading →

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And here we are on the sixth and final story of Season 15 in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s time for an updated review on the six-part season finale ‘The Invasion of Time’ by David Agnew. The review was done by me and Timelord007 back in 2017. Today, we’re sharing our updated thoughts on the story, which sees Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor returning to Gallifrey, along with Louise Jameson as Leela and K-9, voiced by John Leeson. The guest cast includes John Arnatt as Chancellor Borusa, Milton Johns as Castellan Kelner, Chris Tranchell as Andred and Hilray Ryan as Rodan. The story also features the mysterious Vardans, and the war-like Sontarans, led by Derek Deadman as Commander Stor. This story also features the departure of Leela and K-9 Mark I. Continue reading →

Season 15 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is arguably a transitionary season. As well as being Tom Baker’s fourth season as the Fourth Doctor, it was the first one to be heralded by new producer Graham Williams. 🙂 Graham Williams would implement quite a lot of changes to the show’s format. And here we are on the season finale of Season 15 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Louise Jameson as Leela and K-9, voiced by John Leeson. This ‘Doctor Who’ adventure is a six-part story by ‘David Agnew’ (a.k.a. Anthony Read and Graham Williams). It sees the Doctor returning to Gallifrey to become the new Time Lord president. It introduces the Vardans as aliens and it features the return of the potato-headed Sontarans. It also features the departure of regular cast member Louise Jameson as Leela as well as K-9 Mark I. ‘The Invasion of Time’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. Continue reading →
