Cuddles’ reaction to Fifi in ‘The Happiness Patrol’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In updating my review on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Happiness Patrol’, I’ve shared a brand-new reaction video via YouTube to add to my extended and updated thoughts on the story. This new reaction features Cuddles, my cuddly toy dog, reacting to Helen A’s pet – the space dog-like Stigorax in ‘The Happiness Patrol’. Continue reading

Season 25 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Sylvester McCoy on Blu-ray #2

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Today, it’s time to check out the second story in Season 25 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘The Happiness Patrol’, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace. I’ve updated and extended my thoughts on the story, based on my revisit of ‘The Happiness Patrol’ via the Season 25 Blu-ray box set. ‘The Happiness Patrol’ is a three-part adventure by Graeme Curry, who sadly passed away in 2019. Like ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’, there are two versions of the story on two discs in the Season 25 Blu-ray box set. There’s the original three-part story on Disc 3 and the three-part Special Edition version of ‘The Happiness Patrol’ on Disc 4. Continue reading

Quick Video Thoughts – ‘Reacting to the Kandyman!’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I shouldn’t be talking about this, as I’m currently updating my Season 15 ‘Doctor Who’ reviews and I’ve yet to update my Season 20 reviews based on their ‘Collection’ Blu-ray box sets. 🙂 But this was released exclusively on the ‘Doctor Who’ YouTube channel lately. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Happiness Patrol’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’re now on the second story of Season 25 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s time for ‘The Happiness Patrol’, a three-part story by Graeme Curry, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace. This is quite a politically-charged ‘Doctor Who’ adventure that has the Doctor and Ace visit a world where ‘unhappiness is a crime’. They have to thwart the efforts of Sheila Hancock as Helen A and there’s the monstrous Kandy-Man, that looks like he’s made out of liquorice allsorts and not jelly babies. 😀 Is this is a ‘Doctor Who’ story that wins me over? ‘The Happiness Patrol’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. Movie Review – ‘Three Men and a Little Lady’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

As I reviewed ‘Three Men and a Baby’ recently, it’s only fair to check out the sequel to the film called ‘Three Men and a Little Lady’. I enjoyed watching this film on Disney+ with my parents recently. It’s not as good as the first film, but it’s certainly pretty entertaining with a good storyline. 🙂 Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘The Moon-Spinners’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My Mum is into her spy-thriller action movies and TV shows such as the ‘Mission: Impossible’ film series with Tom Cruise and ‘The Saint’ TV series with Sir Roger Moore. Is there a film on Disney+ that could satisfy my Mum’s taste in that kind of genre? Well, apparently there is and a good one at that.
