And welcome to Season 26 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s Sylvester McCoy’s third and final season as the Seventh Doctor, and it’s the final season of the classic TV series. Today, we’re starting the season off with ‘Battlefield’, a four-part story by Ben Aaronovitch, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace. This story is a U.N.I.T. adventure, featuring the return of Nicholas Courtney as Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart and it introduces Angela Bruce as Brigadier Winifred Bambera. There’s also Jean Marsh who guest stars as Morgaine. ‘Battlefield’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.
