Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And thus, we’ve come to the end of Series 1 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series as well as the end of the Christopher Eccleston/Ninth Doctor era. It’s time for the two-part finale ‘Bad Wolf’/’The Parting of the Ways’ by Russell T. Davies, starring Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor, Billie Piper as Rose Tyler and John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness. In this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure, our heroes find themselves back aboard Satellite 5, which has now become the Game Station. They have to play deadly versions of TV game shows like ‘Big Brother’, ‘The Weakest Link’ and ‘What Not To Wear’. Can the TARDIS trio survive the games as well as the return of the Daleks who are about to attack the planet Earth in the year 200,100? ‘Bad Wolf’/’The Parting of the Ways’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Paradise Towers’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come to one of my favourite stories in Season 24 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series (Yes, I know what I said 😀 ), starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Bonnie Langford as Mel. This is ‘Paradise Towers’, a four-part adventure by Stephen Wyatt. This story takes place in a futuristic tower block and features special guest stars like Richard Briers, Clive Merrison, Brenda Bruce and Judy Cornwall. Despite this being one of my favourite stories in Season 24, does that mean I can’t identify faults in some of the writing and the performances of the cast? ‘Paradise Towers’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. We return to the TV series of ‘Doctor Who’ to celebrate the Ninth Doctor era for the show’s 55th anniversary! This was the era I started growing up with when ‘Doctor Who’ came back to TV in 2005.
