It’s time to have another venture into history with ‘Doctor Who’, as the First Doctor TARDIS team end up in 12th Century Palestine. There, King Richard the Lionheart engages in a holy war with the Saracen leader Saladin. The story features special guest stars Julian Glover as King Richard and Jean Marsh as his sister Joanna. Sadly, only the first and third episodes of this four-part story have survived in the BBC Archives.
