It’s time for us to revisit Season 15 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Louise Jameson as Leela and K-9, voiced by John Leeson. This is Tom Baker’s fourth season as the Fourth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’. Throughout this week, I’m sharing my updated reviews on the six stories featured in Season 15, based on ‘The Collection’ Blu-ray box set that was released in March 2024. Here we are, everyone! I’ve been able to update my reviews on the nine stories featured in Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, since it was re-released on Blu-ray back in December 2022. For the next two weeks, I’ll be sharing my updated thoughts on each of the nine stories in Season 2. The season stars William Hartnell as the First Doctor, William Russell as Ian and Jacqueline Hill as Barbara. Carole Ann Ford stars as Susan in the first two stories of Season 2, Maureen O’Brien stars as Vicki in the rest of the season, and Peter Purves stars as Steven in the last two stories. Let’s begin Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with a Dalek story. 🙂 This is ‘Day of the Daleks’, a four-part story starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. I highly recommend checking out the Special Edition version of the story on the 2-disc DVD release, since that has impressive CGI effects and impressive Dalek voices by Nicholas Briggs. The Special Edition version of ‘Day of the Daleks’ is also available on Britbox, which is fantastic. 😀 The story will soon be re-released in the Season 9 Blu-ray box set, so watch out for that. 😀 Continue reading →
