Back in January 2024, I shared a quick review on the ‘Dad’s Army – The Missing Episodes’ DVD, which was released in 2023. This contains animated reconstructions of missing ‘Dad’s Army’ episodes from Series 2 and ‘Christmas Night with the Stars’. Ian Lavender (1946-2024) & Michael Jayston (1935-2024)

I’m saddened by the news that two actors, who I’ve enjoyed watching in two of my favourite TV shows, have passed away recently – Ian Lavender and Michael Jayston. Ian Lavender played Private Pike in ‘Dad’s Army’ and Michael Jayston played the Valeyard in ‘Doctor Who’. It’s sad to think they’re no longer with us. Continue reading
