CD Review – ‘The Last Days of the Powell Estate’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s the last Big Finish audio review for this week to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’. What better way to finish it off than by checking out the second audio adventure starring Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose Tyler in ‘The Ninth Doctor Adventures’ by Big Finish. It’s time for ‘The Last Days of the Powell Estate’ by Timothy X Atack. Hopefully, I’ll be back to check out more Ninth Doctor and Rose audio stories as well as more Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz audio stories in the New Year, once I’ve sorted out my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews for this year as well as upcoming in-depth reviews on Series 14 and 15 of the new TV series with Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. CD Review – ‘Snare’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After checking out ‘Vampire Weekend’, the first of ‘The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures’ of ‘Doctor Who’ by Big Finish, starring Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill, it’s time to check out the first of ‘The Ninth Doctor Adventures’ starring Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper. I’m pleased to be making a start on checking out these audios at last, especially as they’re for eras of ‘Doctor Who’ that I personally love. The Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper era of ‘Doctor Who’ is particularly special for me, since it was the first era for me to be introduced to in the new TV series. I’m glad Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper have reunited to do more ‘Doctor Who’ audio stories as the Ninth Doctor and Rose. Continue reading

We close our look into the Christopher Eccleston/Ninth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ by checking out the first collection of Big Finish audios in Series 2 of ‘The Ninth Doctor Adventures’ called ‘Back to Earth’. This is following on from me checking out Series 1 of ‘The Ninth Doctor Adventures’ in 2022, including anthologies like ‘Ravagers’, ‘Respond to All Calls’, ‘Lost Warriors’ and ‘Old Friends’. For this year, I’ll only be checking out ‘Back to Earth’ in Series 2 of ‘The Ninth Doctor Adventures’. I’m hoping that I will catch up on more ‘Ninth Doctor Adventures’ by Big Finish soon in 2024. Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Our look into John Hurt as the War Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’ has been quick so far in the 60th Anniversary Marathon. We finish it off by checking out the third story of ‘The War Doctor’ series of Big Finish audios called ‘Agents of Chaos’. There are more ‘War Doctor’ stories to check out, but this is the penultimate box set audio adventure featuring John Hurt as the War Doctor. I’m sure they will be a point when I’ll be checking out ‘Casualties of War’, the fourth box set audio adventure with John Hurt, as well ‘The War Doctor Begins’ audios featuring Jonathon Carley. Continue reading
