Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come to one of my favourite stories in Season 24 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series (Yes, I know what I said 😀 ), starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Bonnie Langford as Mel. This is ‘Paradise Towers’, a four-part adventure by Stephen Wyatt. This story takes place in a futuristic tower block and features special guest stars like Richard Briers, Clive Merrison, Brenda Bruce and Judy Cornwall. Despite this being one of my favourite stories in Season 24, does that mean I can’t identify faults in some of the writing and the performances of the cast? ‘Paradise Towers’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Here’s my latest review on the 1987 film adaptation of ‘Little Dorrit’, based on the novel by Charles Dickens. The 1987 film adaptation of ‘Little Dorrit’ is a two-part film. Each part is about 3 hours long, which makes this a 6-hour film altogether. You’ll probably want to spend two days watching this particular film. 🙂 Continue reading →

As promised, here’s a new DVD review added to ‘The Works of Sarah Sutton’, attached to ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ page for Christmas 2016! It’s on the BBC TV movie of ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ starring Sarah Sutton as Alice.  It was shown on Christmas Day back in 1973.
