Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

As part of my blog’s 10th anniversary celebrations this year, I’ve decided to share a preview on the next story in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series called ‘Swing Time’. After uploading ‘Neptune Connect’ this year, I’m happy to be getting on with ‘Swing Time’.

Uploading my final season of ‘Doctor Who’ stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy hasn’t been as fast as I hoped. I’ve had other projects to attend to and uploading the stories has taken me longer than planned. Hopefully, it won’t be so long with ‘Swing Time’.

Because of me being busy with my blog’s 10th anniversary celebrations and with upcoming Christmas celebrations, including the upcoming ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season, what I’m sharing today aren’t the final versions of the story’s early chapters.

This special preview of ‘Swing Time’ contains an introduction to the story as well as the prologue and the first two chapters of the story in ‘Part One’. The first two chapters still need work on, but hopefully, they’ll be finalised by the time I upload the rest of the story. 🙂

At this stage, I hope to get ‘Parts One and Two’ completed and shared in December. ‘Parts Three and Four’ are likely to be shared in early 2026. Hopefully, it’ll be well-worth the wait, and I do enjoy getting to share a new exciting adventure with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy.

Here’s a summary of what ‘Swing Time’ is all about.

Los Angeles, USA, Earth, 1939. The TARDIS arrives on an ocean cruiser in the summer of 1939, where Nyssa and Billy have their honeymoon. They meet many people, including Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. Suddenly, the cruiser gets caught in a wormhole and is transported through Space and Time to another ocean world with beaches where it’s deserted. The Doctor senses something is wrong, as a dodgy business transaction involving alien technology occurs in connection to Earth and an identity crisis takes place. Pretty soon, the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy are accused of the crime.
