The ‘Fantastic Four’ Movies

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I’m saddened by the news that Julian McMahon (who played Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom in the ‘Fantastic Four’ movies from 2005 to 2007) has passed away recently. 😦 I’ve fond memories and enjoyed Julian’s interpretation of Doctor Doom in the ‘Fantastic Four’ film duology.

My prayers and thoughts go to the friends and family of Julian McMahon during this difficult time. Check out the BBC tribute to Julian McMahon here. I’m very pleased that Julian McMahon met Stan Lee from watching a behind-the-scenes documentary on the DVD for the first ‘Fantastic Four’ movie from 2005. 🙂

To honour Julian McMahon’s memory and with the upcoming release of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ at the cinema, I’m sharing my reviews on the two ‘Fantastic Four’ films from 2005 to 2007, including ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’. I’ve also reviewed the novelizations on the two ‘Fantastic Four’ films from 2005 to 2007. The first one is by the late Peter David and the second one is by Daniel Josephs.

There’s also my review on the unreleased 1994 film ‘The Fantastic Four’ and my review on the 2015 film ‘Fantastic Four’ to check out. Please feel free to check out my reviews on the ‘Fantastic Four’ films by clicking on the links for them.

Enjoy!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now.

Tim 🙂

Batman Beyond is a phenomenal series, but if you can find it, the episode, Heroes, has a great riff on the Fantastic Four called the Terrific Trio. With a nasty twist.

I’ve always remembered some of the dialogue towards the end:

Batman: ‘Thousands of people will die. Doctor Morgan, you can’t let that happen. You’re a hero, remember?’

Morgan: ‘No. I’m an accident. Real heroes make a choice. I never did.’

      Hi Wolfie,

Thanks for sharing about ‘Batman Beyond’ and the episode ‘Heroes’ featuring the Terrific Trio as a riff on the Fantastic Four. I’ve not seen ‘Batman Beyond’ as a series yet, but the episode you described with the Terrific Trio having a nasty twist sounds fascinating.

      Best wishes,

      Tim 🙂
