And here we are on the twelfth and final instalment of the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’ collection of ‘Doctor Who’ audio stories called ‘Old Flames’ by Paul Magrs. The story features the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane. It also features the ‘Doctor Who’ debut of Iris Wildthyme, a character who made her debut in three ‘Phoenix Court’ novels published by Vintage Books in the 1990s. She’s currently played by Katy Manning in the Big Finish audios. ‘Old Flames’ is read by Nicholas Courtney, who played the Brigadier in the ‘Doctor Who’ TV series and the Big Finish audios. As well as the twelfth story in the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume One’ collection, it’s the sixth story in the ‘Short Trips’ audio anthology produced by the BBC. It’s also the second story in the ‘Short Trips’ 1998 book collection by the BBC, which I reviewed in my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for Easter from March to April 2024.
