Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog AND IT’S THE 9TH ANNIVERSARY!!!
Yes, it’s been nine years that I’ve been doing ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m still enjoying sharing stuff on my blog whether it’s ‘Doctor Who’-related or not. To think that this all started with a simple ‘Hello and Welcome’ blog post, which I published on the 30th of September 2015, and my blog is still going strong!
I’ve done ‘Doctor Who’ reviews, stories and timelines, and I’ve done reviews on movies I’ve enjoyed seeing as well as TV shows I’ve enjoyed seeing. As well as the ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, I’ve also done reviews on some of the Big Finish audios, comics, books and short stories over the years on my blog. I’ve done collaborations with people like Timelord007 and WilliamsFan92 in terms of reviews and discussions as well as collaborations with the Divergent Wordsmiths in terms of ‘Doctor Who‘ stories.
Admittedly, 2024 has been a bit of a slow year for me in terms of sharing content on my blog. Whether that’s down to fatigue because of the 60th anniversary celebrations of ‘Doctor Who’ that happened last year or because 2024 has been quite an underwhelming year for me is hard to say. 😐 Regardless, I’ve enjoyed catching up on stuff that I’ve been meaning to do reviews on in 2023 such as ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season I did for Easter from March to April this year. I’m currently looking forward to setting up the celebrations for my blog’s 10th anniversary in 2025, which I’m sure I’ll be starting on soon after today.
‘Bradley’s Basement’ is a place where I can share my thoughts and feelings about my favourite TV shows and movies, including ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Star Trek’, ‘Spider-Man’, ‘The Lord of the Rings’, etc. I’m looking forward to sharing a special blog post today that’s connected to my ‘Fifth Doctor’ series. Stay tuned. This year, I’ve been sharing ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’, a four-part mini-series of ‘Doctor Who’ Short Trips featuring a variety of Doctors and companions. So far, I’ve shared the first two stories, including ‘The Horns of Wulfe’ with the Fourth Doctor, James Darby and Bazooie and ‘Romance and the Cow Creamer’ with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy Walker. I’m looking forward to sharing the third story ‘The Race of Endurance’ with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan Jovanka and Michael Anderson in October, and ‘Quasar of Sarfenia’ with the Sixth Doctor, Peri Brown and Frobisher in November.
I’m pleased I saw Sarah Sutton twice at conventions this year, including the ‘Devcon Sci-Fi, Toy, Film & Comic Fair’ in March and the ‘Comic Con Mania Leicester’ event in April. I’m very pleased I did a Happy Easter message with Sarah as well as an interview with her about her first acting job in playing Baby Roo in a 1970s production of ‘Winnie the Pooh’. I’m hoping I’ll see Sarah again soon with Peter Davison and Janet Fielding at the ‘Happy Who Year’ event in Epsom in January 2025.
I’m currently preparing my next ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season, which I’m hoping I’ll share from December 2024 to January 2025. 🙂 This will include reviews on the latest Target audiobook of ‘Kinda’, read by Janet Fielding; the latest Big Finish audios, including the audio adaptation of ‘Goth Opera’; and updated reviews on ‘The Elite’, ‘Hexagora’ and ‘The Children of Seth’. Stay tuned!
I’ve also been preparing to share my updated reviews on Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with Jon Pertwee in October, as part of ‘The Collection’ range of Blu-ray box sets of classic ‘Doctor Who’ seasons. I’m hoping to update my reviews on the stories in Seasons 15 and 20 of classic ‘Doctor Who’ soon and I’m looking forward to receiving my copy of the Season 25 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ in the post.
There are also the latest Target novelizations/audiobooks of ‘Doctor Who’ I’m checking out. I’m in the process of checking out novelizations/audiobooks of new TV series episodes as well as stories from the classic TV series. No doubt, I’ll be finding time to do in-depth reviews on Series 14 of the new TV series with Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson before I get onto doing reviews on the Target novelizations/audiobooks of ‘Space Babies’, ’73 Yards’ and ‘Rogue’.

As part of my celebration of nine years of ‘Bradley’s Basement’, I’m sharing some brand-new ‘Doctor Who’ timelines. This includes one for the Fifteenth Doctor’s upcoming companion Belinda Chandra (played by Varadu Sethu). I’ve set up her timeline in advance before Series 15 of the show arrives and I’ve added her timeline to ‘The Companions’ Timelines Index’, accordingly. There are also three timelines for ‘The Monsters’ Timelines Index’ for people to enjoy, including one for the Slitheen, one for the Ood and one for the Toymaker. I had hoped to do timelines for Morbius, Rassilion and other characters. Hopefully, I’ll get onto doing timelines for more characters soon. 🙂
In terms of the ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, there’s the 2024 Christmas Special called ‘Joy to the World’ by Steven Moffat to look forward to. I’ve seen the preview clip that was shown on the ‘Doctor Who’ YouTube channel earlier this year and no doubt I’ll be doing a spoiler free reaction on the Christmas Special on Christmas Day. I have plans to do another ‘Advent Calendar’ for December this year. How the ‘Advent Calendar’ will turn out in whatever form I decide it to be is for you to find out. 😀 To tease you, it’s something to do with ‘Doctor Who’ audios and vinyls. I’m sure the actual ‘Advent Calendar’ will be worth waiting for.
I’m currently checking out Series 5 of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series, which is being shown on Channel 5 and My5 in the UK. I’m hoping to share a quick review on Series 5 once it’s finished on TV. Watching a new season of ‘All Creatures’ gives me something to look forward to. There are a few movies for me to look forward to at the cinema before 2024 ends. For October, there’s the second ‘Joker’ film ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ and there’s the third ‘Venom’ film ‘Venom: The Last Dance’. I’m looking forward to seeing ‘Paddington in Peru’ in November. Which of these three films will I like most?
As I reflect on how the ninth year of ‘Bradley’s Basement’ has been with its trials and tribulations, I’m looking forward to what Year Ten of ‘Bradley’s Basement’ will bring. Hopefully, it’ll be a fruitful year, especially in terms of celebrating 10 years of ‘Bradley’s Basement’, which I’ll share more details about soon.
In the meantime, many thanks again to everyone who has supported my blog these past nine years. Please stay tuned for a special ‘Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’-related blog post later today. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂

Hi Tim, Many congratulations on nine years of reviews, timelines and stories. It takes a lot of time, work and dedication to put write and publish the amount of content that you do.
The stories themselves are a huge commitment and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with you on your contributions to A Sparkle of Doctors. I also enjoyed assisting with your epic script, The Thirteen+ Doctors. You totally surprised me with the identity of the villain of the piece!
I look forward to seeing what your tenth year brings and once again, well done on producing a consistent and engaging blog.
Best wishes, Tony

Hi Tony,
Many thanks. I’m amazed and pleased I’ve been able to do my blog for the past nine years. Thanks for your contributions, especially with helping me on ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’ and ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’, especially ‘Romance and the Cow Creamer’. I’ve enjoyed working with you on those stories as well as ‘Interdimensional Rescue’ in ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’. I’m glad I surprised you with one of the villains featured in ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’.
I’m already working on setting up a 70th anniversary ‘Doctor Who’ series on my blog as we speak, which I hope to start writing around 2032 and share in 2033. 😆 Look out for a special blog post today connected to my Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy stories. Hope you enjoy it.
Best wishes,
Tim 🙂

Hi Tim, You’re very welcome. Helping with Romance and the Cow Creamer was such fun. A Black Orchid style romp which I thoroughly enjoyed.
You are probably more advanced in your plans for the Seventieth Anniversary than the Dr Who production office! 2033? I’ll be sixty! And hopefully a published writer for children and young people. Well, I can dream…
All the very best to you and happy writing, Tony

Hi Tony,
I believe the 70th anniversary series of ‘Doctor Who’ I have in mind for ‘Bradley’s Basement’ in 2033 will be more epic compared to ‘Orionis’, the final story of ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series, as the episode lengths will be longer and the episode count will be more than what Russell T. Davies gave us in the 60th anniversary TV specials. I want to share details about them, but I must hold back to avoid spoiling surprises.
I greatly enjoyed writing ‘Romance and the Cow Creamer’ and it was nice to do a 1920s story with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy in the style of ‘Black Orchid’.
Best wishes,
Tim 🙂
