Just to let you know, there’s going to be a brand-new ‘Doctor Who’ anthology of short stories released at the end of April called ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’ by the Divergent Wordsmiths. Or I should say, Volume 1 of ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’ is going to be released at the end of April, which is exciting. 🙂

‘A Sparkle of Doctors’ is a ‘Doctor Who’ short story anthology celebrating the TV show’s 60th anniversary. It will be released in two volumes – the first volume at the end of April and the second volume sometime later in 2023. I’m very pleased to be taking part in both volumes of the anthology.

The story I’m contributing to the anthology is called ‘Interdimensional Rescue’ and it’s a two-part adventure. ‘Part One’ will be released in Volume 1 of ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’ and ‘Part Two’ will be released in Volume 2. ‘Interdimensional Rescue’ will feature the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy TARDIS team. 🙂

Here’s a synopsis by the Divergent Wordsmiths on what the story is about.

With the time vortex in ruins, the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa of Traken and Billy Walker are sent on a desperate mission to save what remains of their parallel lives…

Other stories featured in the anthology include ‘Palingenesis’ by Rob Nisbet (who’s written stories like ‘The Edge’ and ‘A Heart on Both Sides’), featuring the First Doctor, Ian and Barbara, and the First Doctor and Steven; ‘L’Amore Ci Terra Uniti’ by Oscar Hampton, featuring the Unbound First Doctor (played by Geoffrey Bayldon) and Susan; ‘The Future of Peladon’ by Kevin M. Johnston, featuring the Unbound Third Doctor (played by David Warner) and Bernice Summerfield; and ‘The Time Lord All Tattered and Torn’ by AFJ Kernow, featuring the Sixth Doctor and Mel. Both volumes of the anthology are edited by Alan Camlann/Wolfie, AFJ Kernow and Sherlock.

There’s more to look forward to in Volume 1 of ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’, but for now, stay tuned. I’m looking forward to when ‘Part One’ of ‘Interdimensional Rescue’ will be in print soon as well as the other stories in Volume 1 of ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’.
