Book/Audio Review – ‘In the Heart of Chaos’ (Star Trek: Prometheus)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’ve come to the end of the ‘Star Trek: Prometheus’ book/audio trilogy, as we look at the third and final instalment called ‘In the Heart of Chaos’ by Bernd Perplies and Christian Humberg. The Big Finish audiobook is read by Alec Newman. Does this ‘Star Trek’ book/audio trilogy end on a satisfactory note or did it become a disappointment for me? Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘That Darn Cat!’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley.

Last Friday, my parents and I saw the 1965 film ‘That Darn Cat!’ on Disney+. We greatly enjoyed this film and I’m amazed how much we laughed throughout this film. 😀 There is a 1997 remake of the film, but I haven’t seen it yet. I wanted to check out the original ‘That Darn Cat!’ first. I’m glad that I did. Continue reading

Spider-Man at the Movies – ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

The story of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Spider-Man actually begins in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. But for today, it’s time to take a look at the first ‘Spider-Man’ movie to feature Tom Holland as the webslinger, which is called ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’. This is a decent ‘Spider-Man’ movie, even though I have some issues with it. Continue reading

I’ve been pretty busy lately with making some preparations for the upcoming 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’ as well as doing reviews on certain ‘Doctor Who’ stories, movies and TV shows. Hopefully, I’ll be sharing a preview of what those reviews are going to be like in this blog post. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Camp Nowhere’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

It’s time to talk about another movie I saw on Disney+ recently. This is the 1994 film ‘Camp Nowhere’, an adventure comedy film starring Christopher Lloyd. I enjoyed this film. It was funny to see Christopher Lloyd in another film away from his usual and well-known ‘Back to the Future’ films. Continue reading

In updating my ‘Spider-Man’ film reviews recently, I’ve also updated the reviews on three ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ films that feature Spider-Man in them. This includes ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (Spider-Man’s debut in the ‘MCU’) and the double bill films ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Continue reading

Nichelle Nichols (1932-2022)

Hello everyone.

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I’m saddened to share the news that Nichelle Nichols, who played Lt. Uhura in the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series, has passed away. I enjoyed her in the original ‘Star Trek’ series as well as the six ‘Star Trek’ films featuring the original series cast. My memories of her as Lt. Uhura are very happy ones. 🙂 Continue reading

Spider-Man at the Movies – ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come to the second and final (for now 😀 ) ‘Spider-Man’ film featuring Andrew Garfield as the webslinger – ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. Over the years, I’ve grown to like this film more and more. I know it’s the weakest of the two ‘Spider-Man’ films in the Andrew Garfield era so far, but like ‘Spider-Man 3’, I find there’s more good than bad in it. Continue reading
