Season 15 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker on Blu-ray #3

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for us to check out the third story of Season 15 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, based on its ‘Collection’ Blu-ray box set, called ‘Image of the Fendahl’ by Chris Boucher, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor and Louise Jameson as Leela. K-9 is in this story, but unfortunately, he’s only in the first and last episodes of this four-part adventure. Plus, John Leeson doesn’t voice him. It’s sad, but thankfully, K-9 makes a proper appearance in the story after this one. In the meantime, today, I’m sharing my latest and updated thoughts on ‘Image of the Fendahl’, a story about an ancient human skull and the coming of a deadly enemy in the Fendahl with gothic proportions. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Time and the Rani’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to the Sylvester McCoy/Seventh Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’! 🙂 Let’s begin by taking a look at Season 24, Sylvester McCoy’s first season as the Seventh Doctor. This is considered one of the worst seasons ever made in the entire ‘Doctor Who’ series? Do I agree with that, or do I find something of value in each story of Season 24? Well, let’s check out the first story of the season called ‘Time and the Rani’, a four-part adventure by Pip and Jane Baker. Sylvester McCoy is joined by Bonnie Langford as Mel and Kate O’Mara as the evil Rani. There’s also the introduction of the monstrous Tetraps. ‘Time and the Rani’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Continue reading

Quick DVD Box Set Review – ‘A Family At War’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

How do I sum up a TV drama series from the early 1970s about a family in Liverpool who went through the Second World War? Well, it probably wasn’t what I was expecting all the time. The series changed a lot and many characters didn’t last to the end. But the writing and the cast are very good. Continue reading
