‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Series 5 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In my opinion, Series 5 is the strongest of the three seasons featuring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor as well as being the strongest season in the entire Steven Moffat era of ‘Doctor Who’. It starts off well in ‘The Eleventh Hour’ and it concludes well in ‘The Pandorica Opens’/’The Big Bang’. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – 2008-2010 Specials Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Despite them not being an actual season (technically they’re part of Series 4), the 2008-2010 Specials of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series could be argued as being David Tennant’s fifth season of ‘Doctor Who’. This is despite him not having a regular companion accompanying him in the specials. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Series 4 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In my opinion, Series 4 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is the best season out of the David Tennant/Tenth Doctor era. I have very fond memories of this season when I saw it back in 2008. It was my first proper ‘Doctor Who’ season to watch on TV after I saw the previous seasons on DVD. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Series 3 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Series 3 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is the Martha Jones season in the David Tennant/Tenth Doctor era. It’s not a season that I would rate as highly as I’ve rated David Tennant’s first and third seasons, but there are some enjoyable gems featured throughout Series 3 which I’ve enjoyed a lot. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Series 2 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For David Tennant’s first season as the Tenth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’, Series 2 features a couple of returning elements from the classic TV series. Most notably, it features the return of the Cybermen. Whilst Series 1 featured the return of the Daleks, it was Series 2’s turn to bring back the Cybermen. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Series 1 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

The first and only season of the Christopher Eccleston/Ninth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ is undeniably a significant season in the history of the TV show. After sixteen years of being off-air from TV screens, ‘Doctor Who’ returned triumphantly in its new series under Russell T. Davies’ reign. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 26 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Season 26 – the third and final season of the Sylvester McCoy/Seventh Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ – is a season where the show was getting to find its feet again on arguably what stories it could have told in the 1990s. This is thanks to how script editor Andrew Cartmel handled things with the stories. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 25 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

As far as I’m concerned, Season 25 – the 25th anniversary season – of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series has two stories that are worth mentioning to celebrate 25 years of the TV show – ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ and ‘Silver Nemesis’. I enjoyed both these exciting and thrilling stories. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 24 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Season 24 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is rated as the worst season ever made. Whilst I agree there is too much humour in the four stories of Sylvester McCoy’s first season as the Seventh Doctor and there needs to be balance of drama and humour, I don’t find this season to be terrible. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 23 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Season 23 of classic ‘Doctor Who’ is unique for many reasons. It was the first season truncated from 26 episodes to 14 episodes. It also replaced a cancelled Season 23, since ‘Doctor Who’ had been rested for 18 months in 1985 following concerns made by BBC executives on the show’s creditability. Continue reading
