Blu-ray review – ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I know it hasn’t been that long since I first saw ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ on TV, but having seen the recent festival special of ‘Doctor Who’ again on Blu-ray, I’ve done a brand-new review on the story with some updated thoughts. I greatly enjoyed revisiting ‘Revolution of the Daleks’, starring Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, Bradley Walsh as Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan, Mandip Gill as Yaz and John Barrowman as Captain Jack. In preparation for the ‘March of the Thirteenth Doctor’ review season in March 2021, I’m sharing my Blu-ray reviews on Series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’ today. Series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’ stars Jodie Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. Have my thoughts on the season changed since first seeing it in early 2020? Continue reading

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, after what we’ve been through with a hellish year in 2020, it seems very fitting for me to say…it’s great to have ‘Doctor Who’ back! I’ve missed the TV show very much. TARDIS; time-travel; space and time; Daleks; the Doctor; her three companions, Captain Jack returning! That’s what I’ve missed. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At this time, things are gradually returning to normal despite us living in a current pandemic – please keep safe. Whilst that’s going on, I’m happy to say that I’ve seen Series 3 of ‘Call the Midwife’ with my parents. We’re getting through these seasons of ‘Call the Midwife’ pretty quickly! 😀 I’ve added my reviews on the 2013 Christmas Special as well as the eight episodes of Series 3 to my blog. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘The Timeless Children’ (Part Two) (Doctor Who)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And now we’ve come to the end of Series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’! I’m sad that Series 12 has come and gone so quickly this year. I’ve greatly enjoyed this season. Yeah, I know I had some issues with a few episodes. But the majority of Series 12 has kept me entertained and I’ve never found a boring moment. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Ascension of the Cybermen’ (Part One) (Doctor Who)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So, after all the variety we’ve had in Series 12 and the mixed feelings I’ve had about each episode so far, it’s time for the season finale ‘Ascension of the Cybermen’/’The Timeless Children’ by Chris Chibnall. I’ve been looking forward to this two-part finale, especially since the Cybermen appear in it! Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

(sighs) ‘The Haunting of Villa Diodati’! Here we go. First things first, I appreciate there are people out there who really like this episode. Because…yeah. This was a well-directed and decently-paced ‘Doctor Who’ episode with a creepy, spooky atmosphere thrown in for good measure. You would expect that. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Can You Hear Me?’ (Doctor Who)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, if I found ‘Praxeus’ a disappointment the previous week, ‘Can You Hear Me?’ by Charlene James and Chris Chibnall was a big improvement. Yeah, there are some issues with some story points I was confused by, but overall this was a good outing. I found myself pretty gripped throughout this episode. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Praxeus’ (Doctor Who)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After the insanity that went on in ‘Fugitive of the Judoon’ the previous week, I suppose things would’ve calmed down by the time we got to the next episode. And they do, but I was hoping for a big follow-up to the exciting revelations we’ve had so far, especially with Chris Chibnall co-writing this. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Fugitive of the Judoon’ (Doctor Who)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and WHAT THE HECK’S GOING ON?!!!

Okay, okay, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be jumping ahead of myself here, but I’ve seen the most insane ‘Doctor Who’ episode ever on TV! There were twists, turns and surprises in every corner of this episode. I expected this to be a mundane Judoon TV episode with the Thirteenth Doctor and her team. Continue reading
