March of the Thirteenth Doctor #29

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This is a ‘Doctor Who’ TV episode I have mixed feelings about. In ‘The Haunting of Villa Diodati’, the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz meet Mary Shelley for the first time. This story would’ve been fine if I hadn’t heard the Big Finish audios featuring Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor and Mary Shelley to spoil my enjoyment. Continue reading

March of the Thirteenth Doctor #28

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Another episode from Series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’ in the ‘March of the Thirteenth Doctor’ today! It’s time for some nightmarish proportions as the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz confront a deadly enemy in ‘Can You Hear Me?’ I like this episode very much as it sheds more light on our four main TARDIS regulars. Continue reading

March of the Thirteenth Doctor #27

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come now to a ‘Doctor Who’ book by Sophie Aldred herself (along with Mike Tucker and Steve Cole). Today, we’re checking out ‘At Childhood’s End’ featuring Ace after her travels with the Seventh Doctor ended and where she runs A Charitable Earth. She also gets to meet the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz here. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s back with the ‘Doctor Who’ TV series again as we resume Series 12 featuring Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor, Bradley Walsh as Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Mandip Gill as Yaz. Today, we take a look at ‘Praxeus’ by Pete McTighe, who wrote ‘Kerblam!’ for Series 11. Will ‘Praxeus’ impress me as much as ‘Kerblam!’ did? Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here’s the second short story featuring the Thirteenth Doctor meeting her granddaughter Susan called ‘Fellow Traveller’ by Mark Gatiss. Unlike ‘Press Play’ where the Thirteenth Doctor saw a holographic message of Susan in the TARDIS, this is where Jodie’s Doctor actually meets Susan following ‘The Dalek Invasion of Earth’. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

If you haven’t checked out the first two stories of the ‘shadow’ trilogy in the ‘Adventures in Lockdown’ anthology called ‘The Shadow Passes’ and ‘Shadow of a Doubt’, check them out now. Today, we’re checking out the third story of the trilogy called ‘The Shadow in the Mirror’, which was a story originally presented on YouTube and read/performed by Lauren Wilson. Continue reading

Quick ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Review – ‘New World Order’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After enjoying eight weeks of ‘WandaVision’ on Disney+ from January to March, it’s time to check out the next ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ web-series called ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’. It stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/the Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/the Winter Soldier. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We begin what is arguably the ‘shadow’ trilogy in the ‘Adventures in Lockdown’ anthology with the first story being ‘The Shadow Passes’ by Paul Cornell. This features the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz in ‘isolation’. It was surreal to find the contrasts of real-life and fiction in this little story. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Flora & Ulysses’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

Last Friday, I saw ‘Flora & Ulysses’, an original Disney+ movie! This happens to be a superhero family comedy film involving a young girl called Flora and a squirrel called Ulysses. I had a fun time watching this movie on Disney+. I didn’t know what to expect and I came away feel really satisfied. 🙂 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for one of the most bonkers ‘Doctor Who’ episodes ever to feature in the Thirteenth Doctor era. Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor and her team visit Gloucester in the present day where the Judoon put the place in ‘lockdown’ – ha, fiction! 😀 The episode also features the return of an old friend and a shocking twist revelation. Continue reading
