TV Review – ‘Call the Midwife’, Series 8, Episode 4

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Once again, I’ve seen the latest episode of ‘Call the Midwife’ on BBC iPlayer. This was a pretty emotional, bittersweet episode as it features two subplots. The first subplot is where the ‘Call the Midwife’ team try to unite a mother and daughter who are both pregnant and pretty estranged from each other. Continue reading

Quick TV Review – ‘Grantchester’, Series 4, Episode 3

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I found out from Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’) that she loves ‘Grantchester’. I need to catch up on the previous three seasons and the Christmas Special set before Series 4. 😀 Sarah hasn’t seen the latest Series 4 episodes though. I almost revealed spoilers to her at ‘Science of the Time Lords’. Oops! 😀 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Apologies for the delay to my review on the latest episode of ‘Call the Midwife’ in Series 8. I was away last weekend for the ‘Science of the Time Lords 2019’ event. It’s taken a while for me to settle back in. Thankfully my parents and I saw the latest episodes of ‘Call the Midwife’ and ‘Grantchester’ online. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Mary Queen of Scots’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I saw the movie ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ at the cinema this week. This is a historical drama film set during the Tudor period of England in the 1500s. The film stars Saoirse Ronan as Mary, Queen of Scots and Margot Robbie as Queen Elizabeth the First. Both actresses deliver good performances in the film. Continue reading

Quick TV Review – ‘Grantchester’, Series 4, Episode 2

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My parents and I saw the latest episode of ‘Grantchester’ on ITV Hub first before we saw the latest episode of ‘Call the Midwife’ on BBC iPlayer. I posted my latest review on ‘Call the Midwife’ first before my latest review on ‘Grantchester’ this week to avoid confusion with how I post these weekly reviews. 😀 Continue reading

Quick TV Review – ‘Grantchester’, Series 4, Episode 1

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

On the same night we saw the first episode of ‘Call the Midwife’, Series 8 via BBC iPlayer, my parents and I also watched the first episode of ‘Grantchester’, Series 4 via ITV Hub. Like with ‘Call the Midwife’, I’m basing my thoughts on the ‘Grantchester’ Series 4 episodes as a casual viewer and not as a regular one. Continue reading

For Christmas 2018, I gave my Mum a Blu-ray edition of ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’. I also gave her a DVD of the 1975 BBC TV adaptation of ‘North & South’, starring Patrick Stewart and Rosalind Shanks. My parents and I enjoyed this interesting adaptation of the original novel by Elisabeth Gaskell. Continue reading

Quick TV Review – ‘Call the Midwife’, Christmas Special 2018

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Yeah I know I said in my review for the 2017 Christmas Special that I was going to watch the 2018 series of ‘Call the Midwife’. I hoped I’d do that before watching the 2018 Christmas Special, but I haven’t had the time to catch up what I’ve missed in other ‘Call the Midwife’ seasons. Hopefully I’ll be able to watch Series 8 for 2019! Continue reading
