Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Yes, I suppose I’ve got the Christmas blues here. In the transition from 2017 into 2018, I’ve been watching the ‘Nativity’ family film series on DVD. That’s the three ‘Nativity’ films which I suppose should be called a trilogy at the moment. But that doesn’t seem to be the case, as I will explain later. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz’

(baffled) “WHY?!!!”

Why make a movie…about Tom and Jerry…and the Wizard of Oz?!

Look, I know I’ve reviewed ‘Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ recently! I know that Tom and Jerry have done many mash-up films like this, based on classic works! But this?! This is ‘The Wizard of Oz’! The film is based on the original Judy Garland film with Tom and Jerry in it! Continue reading

In the spirit of ‘The Space Hotel’ repeat this month on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, I’ve finished updating my reviews on all 12 episodes of one of my favourite BBC TV sitcom series, ‘Fawlty Towers’! These reviews have been updated with extended thoughts on what I make of the episodes. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Napoleon Dynamite’

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve now seen the third of three birthday presents from my best mate Stephen for 2017!

‘Napoleon Dynamite’ is a comedy film made in 2004. It has the feel of a 1980s movie about it, since there are cassette tapes featured in it. I enjoyed seeing this film. I wasn’t sure whether I would take to it, but I found some enjoyment in the story and the characters. I will need to see this movie again. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Mask’

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve now seen the second of three birthday presents from my best mate Stephen for 2017!

‘The Mask’ is a comedy superhero movie that I’ve enjoyed watching! I remember watching this film on VHS in the 1990s. However I had vague memories from watching the film, since I was a kid and couldn’t remember the story. So it was great to revisit the film on DVD and also watch it as an adult. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Blackadder’s Christmas Carol’

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve now seen the first of three birthday presents from my best mate Stephen for 2017!

I enjoyed watching ‘Blackadder’s Christmas Carol’ on DVD! Yes I know, it’s too early for Christmas as it’s only June! But as Oliver Hardy said, “Do your Christmas shopping early!” 😀 Also, if I can review ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Specials throughout the year, why can’t I do it with Blackadder’s Christmas?! Continue reading
