Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
In updating my review on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Happiness Patrol’, I’ve shared a brand-new reaction video via YouTube to add to my extended and updated thoughts on the story. This new reaction features Cuddles, my cuddly toy dog, reacting to Helen A’s pet – the space dog-like Stigorax in ‘The Happiness Patrol’.
Enjoy!
Thanks for reading and watching!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂

What I remember most about Fifi was how her death had sadly but finally convinced Helen A of the error of her ways. A most heartfelt defeat for a Doctor Who villainess. Morgaine’s in Battlefield was even sadder. It can say a lot when the 7th Doctor must resort to breaking hearts. Even Ace’s because it was the only way to break Fenric’s curse.

Hi scifimike,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Fifi. Interesting observation you’ve made about the Seventh Doctor breaking hearts, including Ace’s in order to defeat Fenric. It’s certainly something that happened in the Virgin New Adventure story ‘Love and War’ (both book and audio) where Seven broke Ace’s heart by having her lover killed off, causing her to end her time with him. I know that’s contradicted somewhat in ‘A Childhood’s End’, but the bitter break-up between Seven and Ace in ‘Love and War’, especially on audio with Sylvester and Sophie, is very effective and gut-wrenching to listen to.
Many thanks and Best wishes,
Tim 🙂

I know because I’ve listened to it also. That’s why their very special reunion in The Power Of The Doctor is most appreciated.

Hi scifimike,
Yes, it was very nice to see that scene between the Seventh Doctor and Ace in ‘The Power of the Doctor’, especially as it gave a sense of closure to their relationship, considering they never got an ending in ‘Survival’ once the classic TV show was cancelled in 1989. I appreciate Chris Chibnall’s writing in ‘The Power of the Doctor’ far more than what Russell T. Davies provided in his 60th anniversary specials, especially when concerning returning characters like Seven and Ace.
Many thanks and Best wishes,
Tim 🙂
