Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
Whilst I run most of my blog via WordPress, I’ve also been able to share my thoughts in reviews via videos on my YouTube channel. I created my YouTube account in 2012, but it was in 2015 where I began creating and sharing videos online and I find this pretty amazing.
The first video I shared on my blog via YouTube was my Conversation with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’), which we recorded at the ‘Bournemouth Film and Comic Con’ in August 2015. It’s one of the happiest and most successful videos I’ve ever put together.
The fact that I was able to record an interview with Sarah Sutton for the first time back then is pretty amazing. I was incredibly nervous when I did my first interview with Sarah, but it was a lovely experience. I’m happy I’ve done more interviews with Sarah since then.
The next year, I recorded videos of Sarah Sutton and Peter Davison doing their panel talks at ‘Science of the Time Lords’ at the National Space Centre in Leicester in January 2016. They’re not great videos, but I’m glad I interacted with Sarah during her panel talk.
I recorded a Joke for Sarah Sutton at the ‘MCM Birmingham Comic Con’ (or ‘Memorabilia Birmingham’) at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham in March 2016. It wasn’t a good joke to be honest, but still, another chance to chat to Sarah.
I didn’t do another interview with Sarah Sutton until August 2017 where I saw her at the ‘York Unleashed’ event at the York Racecourse. This was an interview on her Top Five Nyssa Audio Dramas by Big Finish, which I’m pleased we got to record at the convention.
In 2018, I did a compilation of conversations with Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison and Janet Fielding when I saw them at the ‘Folkestone Film, TV & Comic Con 2018’. The conversations were brief, I’m happy I got to interview the three Fifth Doctor era stars then.
As well as interviews with the ‘Doctor Who’ stars, I’ve done reviews on the ‘Doctor Who’/‘Mr. Men’ books, including ‘Dr. First’, ‘Dr. Second’, ‘Dr. Third’, ‘Dr. Fourth’, ‘Dr. Fifth’ and ‘Dr. Sixth’. Sadly, I haven’t been able to do reviews on all of the thirteen books.
But doing those reviews has enabled me to find ways of editing videos for YouTube, including using pictures and audio recordings to mix them together. This has worked effectively for me as a video maker, especially when putting together reviews on my blog.
I had conversations with Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton at the ‘Science of the Time Lords’ convention in Leicester in January 2019. I did my first April Fools video with Sarah and we did our ‘Doctor Who’ review at the ‘Film and Comic Con Cardiff’ in March 2019.
For my blog’s 4th anniversary, I did introductions for my reviews on ‘The Moon Stallion’ novelization/audiobook with Sarah Sutton and for the ‘Doctor Who’ audio story ‘A Life of Crime’ with Sophie Aldred. This was done at the ‘Film and Comic Con Glasgow’ in August 2019.
Post-2020, I’ve done more interviews with Sarah Sutton, including one in Newcastle in August 2022 and one in Sheffield in September 2023. I’ve done interviews with Sarah about ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and ‘The Moon Stallion’. I’ve done Christmas and Easter videos with Sarah. 🙂
This past year, I’ve done quick video reactions on ‘Doctor Who’ episodes from the new TV series, from ‘The Power of the Doctor’ to ‘The Reality War’. It’s been great to do those videos, especially as I’ve shared quick thoughts on the episodes from seeing them on TV.
There are other videos like my ‘Spider-Man’ movie reaction videos and ‘The Curse of Dr. Filthy: Cuddles’ Story’, but it’s amazing I’ve put together so many videos these past ten years. I’m very pleased I’ve been able to produce these videos via YouTube for my blog. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂
